The invention is directed to a molded, hollow, ligature resistant wardrobe comprising a ligature resistant top portion, a ligature resistant coat hanger support and a shelf. A door may be attached to enclose a storage shelf and the igature resistant coat hanger support. The igature resistant coat hanger support having a closed hanger hook engagement recess to prevent providing a ligature tie off point. The ligature resistant top portion may have a sloping shape extending from a back to a front.

Ligature resistant wardrobe

The invention is directed to an intensive use shelf comprising a ligature resistant design including a ligature resistant sloped top, a ligature resistant hanger recess and a contraband barrier on the mounting wall. The shelf having a body, two side panels, a top and a shelf. Each of the two side panels having a sloped top. The top comprising the side panels having a downward sloped configuration to resistant climbing and ligature attachment. A ligature resistant hanger support engagement on the shelf. The ligature resistant hanger support having a J-bar shaped recess.

Intensive use shelf

The intensive use shelf is constructed to attach to a wall and prevent ligature attachments. The intensive use shelf is formed of a one piece hollow body having sloped horizontal surfaces and without ligature tie off points such as holes in the one piece body. The body comprises a pair of sloped side walls, a sloped top and a pocket for retaining a hangar hook. Each of the pair of sloped sidewalls have a higher point on the wall and the lower point spaced from the wall. The sloped top is on the sloped sidewalls to provide a sloped top and hold the sidewalls spaced apart. The hangar support comprises an indentation in the body to hold a hangar hook.

The invention is directed to an intensive use furniture component having a sealing connection on a mounting surface for sealingly attaching to a floor or wall to prevent liquid from seeping under or behind the furniture component. The furniture component is formed by an outer shell having a side wall extending generally perpendicular to the mounting surface. A mounting flange is disposed adjacent the sidewall. A bolt hole is formed in the mounting flange. The sealing connection comprises a caulk channel formed as a channel in the mounting surface for receiving a bead of caulk to fill the seam between the mounting surface and the wall or floor to prevent fluid from seeping past the caulk channel to a space adjacent the interior mounting surface.

Intensive use furniture

The invention is directed to a rotary molded bed having a sleeping surface surrounded by a raised edge, storage compartments molded into the side of the bed and a means for attaching a base of the bed to a floor. The rotationally molded bottom may comprise a flat surface or a honeycombed configuration. The hollow bed body may be filled with structural foam to provide support. The base is attached to a floor surface preferably having fastener openings in the base adapted to hold fasteners recessed in the base, the fasteners extending through a floor mount surface in the base. The fastener openings may have covers adapted to close the fastener openings to prevent tampering with the fasteners.

Intensive use bed

A contraband barrier on a mounting surface for use on an intensive use furniture component providing a sealing connection between the mounting surface and a floor or wall to prevent liquid from seeping under or behind the furniture component and discourage hiding contraband between the floor or wall and the mounting surface. The furniture component is formed by an outer shell having a side wall extending generally perpendicular to the mounting surface. A mounting flange is disposed adjacent the sidewall. A bolt hole is formed in the mounting flange. The sealing connection comprises a caulk channel formed as a channel in the mounting surface for receiving a bead of caulk to fill the seam between the mounting surface and the wall or floor to prevent fluid from seeping past the caulk channel to a space adjacent the interior mounting surface.

A chair has a durable surface with top cover supported by foam thereby providing an ergonomic recoverable shape and a fluid directing perimeter rim or perimeter ridge on a bottom surface thereof.

A table unit particularly adapted for use in a correctional environment includes a base prepared to be filled with ballast. The base has a hollow core member that fits into an inner space of an outer shell member. A sidewall of the core member is spaced inward from a sidewall of the shell member to form a first ballast holding space therebetween. An inner space of the core member defines a second ballast holding space. For use the first holding space or both ballast holding spaces first are filled with ballast such as sand or gravel. Then, a table top is attached to an upper end of the outer shell member to form a completed work table unit. Ballast in the first holding space reinforces the sidewall of the outer shell member while weight of the ballast inhibits unauthorized movement or upsetting of the unit.
