The invention relates to zeolite particles which are at least partially coated with a coating that is capable of delaying the release of heat from the zeolite particles upon contact with water over time. The coating effectively at least partially blocks the pore structure of the zeolite particle from contact with water, thereby delaying contact between water and the zeolite, and prolonging the warming effect caused by such contact.

Disclosed are composite compositions well suited for forming shaped articles which comprise thermoplastic polymer, cellulose, a coupling agent comprising anhydride moities, and a lubricant comprising an alkyl ester of carboxylic acid. Preferably the lubricant is substantially free of zinc stearate.

The invention relates to novel cinnamamides, a process for their manufacture and their use as UV absorbers. The cinnamamides of the invention may be used as UV absorbers in a variety of engineered resins such as polyamides (especially nylon 6 and 6,6), polycarbonates, polyacetals, polysulfones, polyimides, polyaryletherketones, and polyesters, (especially PET and PBT), as well as, other polymers such as polyvinylchloride and polyolefins (polyethylenes and polypropylenes).
