Methods and apparatuses associated with flow sensing devices are provided. An example flow sensing device may include a sensing element disposed at least partially within the housing, and a plurality of channels disposed within the housing defining a flow path configured to convey a flowing media through the flow sensing device, wherein the flow path is disposed proximate the sensing element such that at least a portion of the flowing media makes direct contact with the sensing element.

Flow sensing device

Methods, apparatuses and systems for providing offset calibration and fault monitoring are disclosed herein. An example controller component may comprise: a resistance-based bridge circuit; a signal conditioning circuit configured to condition an output of the resistance-based bridge circuit; a first diagnostic circuit coupled to the signal conditioning circuit configured to monitor an output of a first branch of the resistance-based bridge circuit; and a second diagnostic circuit coupled to the signal conditioning circuit configured to monitor an output of a second branch of the resistance-based bridge circuit.

Offset calibration and diagnostics for resistance-based bridge circuits

A packaging machine is provided for producing single and multiple compartment film wrapped pouches. Multiple linear motors allow aspects of the forming, filling, cutting and discharging to run at different speeds. The pouches are formed, filled and discharged from platens that are secured to movers that proceed through the packaging process by following magnetic fields created by independently controlled linear motors. Overall, cycle time is decreased as a result of speeding up parts of the process, including the platen return process, possible because there is no mechanical connection and not a single conveyor moving the platens while the other parts of the process may be simultaneously slowed down or even temporarily stopped. Changeover of platens, to accommodate different products, such as single compartment pouch to multiple compartment pouches, is also simplified because platens are simply connected to the movers and are thus easily removed and replaced.

A combustor for a turbine engine is provided. The combustor includes a first liner having a first hot side and a first cold side; a second liner having a second hot side and a second cold side, the second hot side and the first hot side forming a combustion chamber therebetween, the combustion chamber configured to receive an air-fuel mixture for combustion therein; and an insert including a body portion extending through the first liner, a shoulder circumscribing the body portion and abutting the first hot side, and an inlet portion coupled to the body portion and abutting the first cold side such that the inlet portion and the shoulder capture the second liner therebetween to retain the insert.

A boat lift apparatus is disclosed. The boat lift apparatus includes a base structure having a first frame section erected over a barrier juxtaposed to a first body of water, the base structure having a second frame section that may be cantilevered over the first body of water and a lift frame operatively coupled with the base structure. The boat lift apparatus further includes a cradle assembly including at least one boat support for receiving a boat and carrying the boat across the barrier, the cradle assembly being moveably coupled to the lift frame. The boat lift apparatus further includes at least one hydraulic cylinder secured to the lift frame and operatively connected to the cradle assembly, wherein activation of the at least one hydraulic cylinder moves the cradle assembly up or down in the vertical direction.

Hydraulic powered boat portage apparatus

A watercraft transport lock includes a walled structure that can be filled and emptied of water received from two separate bodies of water for the purpose of transporting a boat or other watercraft between the two bodies of water. The system prevents the water of one body from mixing with the water of the other body. This is accomplished by removing the water of the first body of water from within the structure prior to filling the structure with the water from the other body. A boat support may be used to support the boat during the emptying and filling processes.

Watercraft lock

A protective shelter and methods for manufacturing are disclosed. The shelter is capable of protecting individuals from significant wind velocities and other catastrophic damages that occur from dangerous conditions such as hurricanes, tornadoes and the like. Prior to the pouring the floor slab of a home, the shelter is fixedly attached to a plurality of supports that have been fixedly attached to a portion of the foundation of the home. When the floor slab is poured, enough concrete is poured to cover the supports up to essentially the top edges of the channel frame base rails to form the base of the shelter, thus incorporating and anchoring the shelter into the foundation of the home.
