A method and system for providing healthcare service appointment time and cost estimates at the time of scheduling whereby a healthcare services database is created that includes: data indicating standardized codes associated healthcare services; data indicating the average time associated with healthcare services; data indicating the average cost of the healthcare services. One or more screening questions to be asked a patient at the time of scheduling a healthcare service appointment are then generated that indicate which, if any, of the healthcare services in the healthcare services database may be needed by the patient at the healthcare services appointment. The data in the healthcare services database is then used to schedule a healthcare service appointment for the given patient having an allocated time based on the average appointment time associated with the needed healthcare service and, in one example, the patient is provided an estimate of the cost of the healthcare service appointment based on the average cost of the needed healthcare service appointment at the time the healthcare service appointment is scheduled.

Method and system for providing healthcare service appointment time and cost estimates at the time of scheduling

A method and system for providing healthcare expense payment recommendations whereby a computing system implemented data management system, such as a computing system implemented healthcare expense management system is provided and the computing system implemented data management system obtains data indicating that a given healthcare consumer utilizing the computing system implemented data management system has access to a healthcare expense account. The given healthcare consumer incurs a healthcare expense that is potentially eligible for payment using the healthcare expense account. The potentially eligible healthcare expense is then identified by the computing system implemented data management system and the healthcare consumer is prompted to consider using the healthcare expense account to pay the potentially eligible healthcare expense.

Method and system for providing healthcare expense payment recommendations

A system and method for providing a healthcare bill settlement system whereby a given healthcare service consumer's EOB data relating to a given healthcare service item is obtained and is translated into a description of the services in language, and/or a format, that a typical healthcare service consumer can understand. The healthcare service consumer's EOB data is also used to present the healthcare service consumer with a payment calculation display and an explanation of how the healthcare service consumer's portion of the claim amount was calculated. The healthcare services consumer is then provided communication access to the healthcare services provider to propose a settlement payment prior to the healthcare services consumer receiving an invoice from the healthcare services provider. The healthcare services provider is then provided the capability to accept or reject the proposed settlement payment.
