A Cold Therapy Cooler Apparatus includes a port body with a flange and threads that is inserted into an orifice in the sidewall or lid of a cooler. An interior retaining ring with compatible threads cooperates with the flange to retain the port body within the orifice. A circulating pump is inside the cooler. An internal supply hose is connected to the pump, and to a supply pass-through that passes through the port body and is connected to an exterior supply hose. An internal return hose is connected to the pump, and to a return pass-through that passes through the port body and is connected to an exterior return hose. The exterior hoses are connected to an anatomical area cooling device. A power cord is connected to the pump and to a power cord connection by way of a power cord pass-through that passes through the port body.

Cold therapy cooler apparatus

A microprocessor controlled medical laser device that has a precise laser beam alignment system indicated by a series of sequentially color changing LEDS. The power management system adjusts the LED'S power input so as maximize battery life, increasing it by up to six times. It's alignment is enabled by a triaxial accelerometer that may be accurately calibrated horizontally or to a plethora of angles relative to the horizontal axis. It is shock resistant and times out to turn the laser off after a predetermined time.

A medical laser vertical alignment system that has a precise locating strip affixed perpendicularly to a static pressure scale and that vertically and horizontally aligns the center of rotation of a reusable detachable laser aligning device with the zero reference point of the scale. The laser beam light is adjustable to coincide with the indicated horizontal position of a set of two bubble leveling vials. It has a quick release and alignment clamping arrangement that affixes the laser aligning device to the locating strip. The leveling device can be rotated 180 degrees and the leveling vials are located at opposing sides and ends of the device for clear visibility and redundancy. There is a timer circuit in the device that shuts the laser off after a predetermined time.

Medical laser vertical alignment system

A drum drilling apparatus that is capable of powered operation with standard issue emergency crew SCBA equipment. The drum drill resides moveably on a platform that is adaptable to be positioned about any sized container regardless of any irregularities in the ground surface. It provides several safety related features such as the capability for remote operation, static electric grounding, and explosion shielding. It has sampling/purge capabilities and adapts for use with LPG cylinders. It is lightweight and capable of operation by one person. It provides the least intrusive method of drum depressurizing.

Container drilling apparatus for non-intrusive perforation of pressurized containers

The present invention relates to a process and apparatus for the separation of materials from within fluorescent lamps and other mercury containing commercial elements. The process and apparatus can separate materials of different compositions by non-chemical means into easily treatable segments without causing significant introduction of wastes (especially mercury waste) into the environment during physical separation. This invention operates by repeatedly crushing and breaking the original article (e.g., the fluorescent lamp) into progressively smaller pieces under controlled circumstances and controlled air pressure so that their various component materials are separately collected and these separately collected components may be individually processed (recycled or purified) without significant introduction of mercury into the environment. The location of venting means and negative air pressure draw path proximally away from the final position of material flow by itself can significantly increase recovery of mercury in the waste stream.

Apparatus and process for separating materials from lamps

A lamp processing machine for separating glass, powder and metal lamp components placed within the machine. The machine may include two generally cylindrical, concentrically mounted screens and a tube concentrically mounted between the screens. The screens may be mounted within an enclosure having separate outlets for the powder, glass and metal.

Lamp processing machine

A protective sheath for a pulse oximetry sensor. The sheath covers the sensor and inhibits contamination thereof during use. The sheath obviates the need to clean the pulse oximetry sensor after each use while reducing the likelihood of cross-patient contamination. The sheath allows the use of reusable pulse oximetry sensors and thus significantly reduces the overall costs of such sensors per use.

Methods and apparatus for inhibiting contamination of reusable pulse

An apparatus for vertically aligning a given point on a pressure transducer unit with a desired point an a patient, the apparatus comprising: (a) a light source; (b) a housing adapted to contain the light source; (c) at least one leveling tube having a leveling axis that is substantially parallel to the light beam, the leveling tube comprising (i) a closed transparent envelope containing a liquid and a bubble of gas, and (ii) lines formed on the envelope, where the leveling axis is substantially horizontally aligned when the bubble of gas is located between the two lines; (d) an indicating mark formed on the housing means, where the beam of light is vertically aligned with the given point on the transducer unit when the indicating means is vertically aligned with the given point on the transducer unit; and (e) a locking system for selectively locking the housing means to prevent movement thereof relative to the transducer unit when the beam of light is both horizontally aligned and vertically aligned with the given point on the transducer unit. To vertically align the given point with the desired point, one of the transducer unit and the patient are vertically displaced relative to the other until the light source causes light to reflect off of the patient at the desired point.
