Systems and methods for a door or window contact sensor are provided. Some systems can include a three-dimensional (3D) microelectromechanical system (MEMS) magnetic sensor, a programmable processor, and executable control software stored on a non-transitory computer readable medium, wherein the 3D MEMS magnetic sensor can measure magnetic parameters of a magnetic field along three axes, and wherein the programmable processor and the executable control software can compare the magnetic parameters to reference values to determine whether the magnetic parameters indicate that a door or a window associated with the 3D MEMS magnetic sensor is open or closed.

Door/window sensor

The present disclosure relates to thermal contrast therapy devices, treatment methods for providing thermal contrast therapy, and systems for providing and managing thermal contrast therapy treatments. The thermal contrast therapy devices disclosed herein are configured to provide a sequence of alternating cooling periods and heating periods to one or more areas of a patient's body. A thermal contrast therapy device may comprise a source of hot fluid, a source of cold fluid, and one or more pumps configured to circulate fluid through one or more treatment pads in fluid communication with the device. The thermal contrast therapy devices disclosed herein are configured to rapidly and efficiently transition between alternating cooling periods and heating periods.

Thermal contrast therapy devices, methods, and systems

Systems and methods that address the gap, security, and robustness limitations of known door and window contact systems and methods without increasing the overall cost thereof are provided. Some systems can include an accelerometer and a magnetometer for mounting in or on a first portion of a window or door unit and a microcontroller unit in communication with each of the accelerometer and the magnetometer. The accelerometer can measure acceleration or vibration relative to a second portion of the window or door unit and transmit the measured acceleration or vibration to the microcontroller unit, the magnetometer can measure magnetic field relative to a sensor magnet mounted on or embedded in the second portion of the window or door unit and transmit the measured magnetic field to the microcontroller unit, and the microcontroller unit can use the measured acceleration or vibration and the measured magnetic field to make a security determination.

Door and window contact systems and methods that include MEMS accelerometers and MEMS magnetometers

A glassbreak detector includes first and second different audio transducers. The first transducer is omnidirectional. The second transducer is highly directional. Control circuitry processes signals from both of the first and second transducers and determines if a glassbreakage profile is present.

Highly directional glassbreak detector

A window or door position detector includes an RFID tag attachable to a window or a door and a transceiver. The transceiver emits an activating signal to the tag. The tag, in turn, responds with an identifying RF signal indicative of a predetermined position of the window or the door. The detector includes a transceiver that can communicate with both the tag and a displaced monitoring system control panel.

Door/window contact system

A system can include a time of flight sensor for mounting in or on a first portion of a window unit or a door unit and a microcontroller unit in communication with the time of flight sensor. The sensor can measure a time for a signal to travel from the sensor to a second portion of the window unit or the door unit and back to the sensor, the sensor can transmit the measured time to the microcontroller unit, and the microcontroller unit can use the measured time to make a security determination.

Door and window contact systems and methods that include time of flight sensors

An alarm or intrusion monitoring system includes a plurality of detectors which communicate with a displaced control element. Various of the detectors include local storage circuitry wherein detected conditions or events are recorded along with a time indicator. Recorded events and respective times of occurrence can be downloaded to the control element for evaluation. Detected conditions or events can include system conditions, such as faults or detector off-line indicators, as well as various intrusion or environmental-type incidents such as smoke, gas, temperature or fire.

System and method for storing and monitoring events at security devices

A glassbreak detector or motion detector includes circuitry responsive to an installation process. Data concerning the installation process can be automatically stored in non-volatile memory. The stored data can be retrieved as part of an after-installation review.

System and method of sensor installation validation

A motion detector and a method for detecting a tampering of the motion detector. The tampering can include a spraying or brushing of a lens of the motion detector. The motion detector comprises a lens, a single sensing section for detecting infrared signals within a protected area, and detecting vibrations on the lens in the form of acoustic signals, the vibrations and the infrared signal causing a voltage change in the single sensing section, a first and second amplifier for amplifying the voltage change for processing for tampering and motion, respectively, first and second filter for filtering the voltage change for processing for tampering and motion, respectively, a microcontroller for determining if the detected voltage change is consistent with a pattern that is indicative of tampering or motion and alarm generating section for generating a tamper alarm or a motion alarm based upon the determination by the microprocessor.

A method of adjusting a sensitivity of an acoustic detector. The acoustic detector receives a signal from a remote device. The signal embodies an operating instruction for the acoustic detector. The signal is decoded into an operating instruction for the acoustic detector. The sensitivity of the acoustic detector is adjusted according to the operating instruction. The acoustic detector can increase or decrease the sensitivity. After the sensitivity is adjusted, the acoustic detector sends a confirmation of the adjustment to the user.

System and method for adjusting sensitivity of an acoustic sensor

An intrusion detector for a security system that detects the breaking of a glass in a window or a door and motion within a protected area is provided. The intrusion detector includes a single sensing section, a first filter, a second filter, a microprocessor, and an alarm generating. The microprocessor includes a motion detection section, an activation section for activating the motion detection section for a preset period of time only when a detected acoustic signal is consistent with that required to break glass, and a timing section for timing the preset period. The sensing section is capable of sensing motion induced signals during both activation and non-activation of the motion detection section, but the motion detection section ignores motion-induced signals during non-activation of the motion detection section.

A method and system for automatically adjusting a sensitivity of an acoustic detector. The method comprises receiving an acoustic signal from a remote device, detecting the unique pattern embedded therein, changing a mode of operation based upon the detection, measuring a voltage created by the reception of the acoustic signal and adjusting the sensitivity of the acoustic detector based upon a measured voltage. The acoustic signal contains a unique pattern indicative of the remote device.
