An apparatus and method for preventing intrusion into a splice closure includes a pair of end wall plates, a first housing plate and a second housing plate affixed to an outer casing of the splice closure. Each end wall plate includes two or more end wall segments made of a formable metal and having a plurality of finger-shaped extensions that are bendable to conform to the contour of an end wall of the splice closure and around any cable(s) entering or exiting the splice closure. The first housing plate is made of a metal and pre-formed to conform to the contour of a first housing half of the outer casing of the splice closure. The second housing plate is made of a metal and pre-formed to conform to the contour of a second housing half of the outer casing of the splice closure. The first and second housing plates may be separable along a centerline of symmetry for use with an extended-length splice closure.

Apparatus and method for preventing intrusion into splice closure

Adaptive voltage scalers (AVSs), systems, and related methods are disclosed. The AVSs are configured to adaptively adjust voltage levels powering a functional circuit(s) based on target operating frequencies and delay variation conditions to avoid or reduce voltage margin. In one embodiment, the AVS includes an AVS database. The AVS database can be configured to store voltage levels for various operating frequencies of a functional circuit(s) to avoid or reduce voltage margin. The AVS database allows rapid voltage level decisions. The voltage levels stored in the AVS database may be initial, minimum, learned, populated, explored, backed out, temperature-based, and/or age-based voltage levels according to disclosed embodiments to further avoid or reduce voltage margin. An AVS module may be a software-based module that consults the AVS database to make voltage level decisions. Providing the AVS module as a software-based module may allow flexibility in configuring the AVS module and/or the AVS database.

Adaptive voltage scalers (AVSs), systems, and related methods are disclosed. The AVSs are configured to adaptively adjust voltage levels powering a functional circuit(s) based on target operating frequencies and delay variation conditions to avoid or reduce voltage margin. In one embodiment, the AVS includes a database. The database can be configured to store voltage levels for various operating frequencies of a functional circuit(s) to avoid or reduce voltage margin. The database allows rapid voltage level decisions. In one embodiment, a voltage offset is added to a voltage level retrieved from the database corresponding to a target operating frequency of the functional circuit(s). In another embodiment, a voltage level is retrieved from the database corresponding to a target operating frequency for and a temperature level of the functional circuit(s). The AVS may partially or fully controllable by a software-based module that consults the database to make voltage level decisions.

Temperature compensating adaptive voltage scalers (AVSs), systems, and methods

A processor provides two-level interrupt servicing. In one embodiment, the processor comprises a storage device and an interrupt handler. The storage device is configured to store an interrupt identifier corresponding to an interrupt request. The interrupt handler is configured to recognize the interrupt request, initiate a common interrupt service routine responsive to recognizing the interrupt request and subsequently initiate an interrupt service routine corresponding to the stored interrupt identifier.

Wirelessly linking a portable audio device to an external audio system permits the external audio system to generate audible signals that enhance local playback of audio by the portable device. For example, the portable device wirelessly transmits lower frequency components of an audio signal to a subwoofer system for reproduction of bass frequencies extending below the playback capability of the portable device. In this manner, the external audio system provides bass enhancement for the portable audio device. Wireless transmissions between the portable audio device and the external audio system may be, but are not limited to, optical or radio frequency (RF) transmissions. Where RF signaling is used, the wireless link may be based on wireless network links, such as those supported by Bluetooth and 802.11standards, or based on, for example, dedicated RF interfaces.
