A valve block assembly includes a cartridge block and a plurality of modular pilot valve operated poppet valve assemblies. The cartridge block has a plurality of bores therein dimensioned and configured for receiving respective modular pilot valve operated poppet valve assemblies. The cartridge block has a first side and each of the bores extend from the first side into the cartridge block. Each of the modular pilot valve operated poppet valve assemblies having a supply air port, an operating air out port and an exhaust passage and each of the modular pilot valve operated poppet valve assemblies are accessible for installation and removal from the cartridge block from the first side. Other forms of the invention include a modular pilot valve operated poppet valve assembly for use with an associated valve block assembly of an associated glassware manufacturing machine which includes a solenoid control valve having an input port for connection to an associated source of pilot air and an outlet port, the solenoid control valve having a first position and a second position, the position changing in response to being energized and a poppet valve having a first port for connection to an associated source of control air, a second port for connection to associated apparatus being controlled and a third port for exhaust air passing from the associated apparatus being controlled, and a poppet, the poppet having an axes and being mounted for axial movement responsive to air pressure at the outlet port of the solenoid control valve.

When the tube of a feeder assembly for a glass forming machine is lowered into engagement with the spout bowl, the separation of the jack and the tube support lifts a ring assembly which normally rests on the jack housing. This exposes a pressurized air conduit resulting in a sensed pressure drop which confirms that the tube has engaged the spout bowl.

A pusher cylinder for moving one or more glassware articles from an associated dead plate through a predetermined arcuate path onto an adjacent moving conveyor. The pusher cylinder has a constant piston stroke length and rack and pinion for adjusting the position of the piston relative to the dead plate. Additionally, the pusher cylinder is provided with a splined central guide post for cooperative engagement with a complementarily splined bushing secured to one end of the piston of the pusher cylinder for providing longitudinal and rotational support for the piston.

In a multiple gob multiple section glassware forming machine adapted to receive a plurality of gobs simultaneously at each successively activated section of the machine, a corresponding plurality of interceptors are associated adjacent the paths of the gobs and may be selectively activated to reject selected ones of the gobs in each cycle of the machine.

A device for reminding an automobilist to turn off the headlights before exiting the automobile which comprises a plug removably attached to the headlight control knob and means for removably attaching the same plug at a point near the door handle whereby the automobilist will be reminded to remove the plug from the headlight knob when operating the knob and to attach the plug to the door handle where it will be sensed when the automobilist grasps the handle in order to open the door.
