An illumination device may include a body having twelve sides, the body being formed by a first body portion including six sides of the twelve sides, and a second body portion including six sides of the twelve sides. The first body portion and the second body portion may be coupled to one another at a first interface and at a second interface disposed radially inward of the first interface, wherein the first interface may be positioned in a plurality of planes, and wherein the second interface may be positioned in a single plane. At least a portion of each of the twelve sides may include a transparent window. The illumination device may include a resilient cover disposed around the body.

Deployable, multi-sided illumination devices and related methods of use

A vehicle closure has a compartment latch that includes a safety device that is automatically engaged to disable the compartment latch when the compartment latch is unlatched. The safety device must be reset manually to restore normal operation of the compartment latch. Manual resetting requires repeated manipulation of a pawl lever to avoid inadvertent disengagement of the safety device, particularly by children.

A process is disclosed for making a decorative, essentially planar sheet of material having a design applied to one side, with the design being viewed through the sheet from the opposite side. A foreground component of the design is produced on a first resilient roller, and the first roller is rotated about its cylindrical axis. A second resilient roller rotates adjacent to the first resilient roller to form a nip with the first cylindrical roller. The planar sheet is fed through the nip formed between the first and second resilient rollers so that the foreground component of the design on the first resilient roller is transferred to the opposite side of the planar sheet. A background component of the design is produced on a third resilient roller, and the third roller is rotated about its cylindrical axis. A fourth resilient roller rotates adjacent to the third roller to form a nip with the third roller. The planar sheet to which the foreground component of the design has been previously applied is fed through the nip formed between the third and fourth resilient rollers so that the background component of the design on the third resilient roller is transferred to the opposite side of the planar sheet superposed over the foreground component that was applied previously.

An interior wall system formed from two opposing walls. Each opposing wall is assembled from a plurality of composite wall panels, each wall panel having an exterior surface material and an interior layer of insulating material bonded to one side of the exterior surface material. Each opposing wall is anchored to top and bottom U-shaped support members and adjoining wall panels of each wall are connected by a plurality of retaining clips. The retaining clips may be adjusted in length to accommodate various widths between the opposing walls. Additionally, splines are inserted between the first and second walls along the seams between adjoining wall panels. The wall system also includes a door frame comprising first and second jamb members and a lintel member, each having a spacing member attached to approximately the center thereof. The spacing members are inserted between the opposing walls and are used to anchor the door frame in place.

Composite panels, each having a rigid board facing, made from gypsum, concrete, wood, or fibrous material, backed by a layer of foamed plastic insulating material whose reverse face is protected by a highly reflective, flame-retardant, moisture-vapor-proof material applied thereto, are held together edge-face to edge-face in building construction by special retaining clips which secure the panels to supporting structure, such as exterior, load-bearing walls, roof, or ceiling, and also serve to guide installation of the panels so that flush registry is assured without time consuming care in installing an additional panel relative to one already in place. The clip has flanges extending perpendicularly from lateral edges of a web strip whose width depends upon the use intended and the panel thickness. A flange along one edge of the web strip is adapted to be secured directly to the supporting structure. Flanges extending mutually oppositely along the other edge of the web strip are adapted to respectively penetrate the interfaces between insulating material and rigid board facings of mutually adjoining panels received by the clip. The outer extremity of the securement flange is formed as a ramp for deflecting a to-be-installed one of the mutually adjacent panels into proper flush position with respect to the one already installed. As an optional feature, the underside of the securement flange can also be provided with projections adapted to serve as spacers with respect to the structure against and to which it is secured.

Panel building construction and method, and clip

A composite panel-board is made up of a rigid, gypsum board, base panel having a rigid, organic plastic, foam layer formed in-situ on, self-adherent to, and essentially covering one of the broad, flat surfaces of the gypsum board base panel. A water-vapor-resistant, flame-retardant layer is adherent to and covers the otherwise exposed, broad surface of the rigid foam layer. The composite panel-board is fabricated by attaching upwardly extending edge sheets on or adjacent to the mutually opposite, side edges of the gypsum board panel so that the mutually opposite edge sheets, together with the gypsum board panel, form a trough. The upper surface of the gypsum board panel is heated to a temperature of at least about 95.degree. F in the presence of a water unsaturated atmosphere, and then a uniform layer of a foamable, liquid, organic plastic material is applied to the upper surface of the gypsum board panel. A sheet of water-vapor-resistant, flame-retardant material is applied to the exposed surface of the layer of liquid, organic plastic material immediately following the formation of such layer on the gypsum board panel, and the foamable, liquid organic plastic material then reacts and expands to form a layer of rigid foam which is self adherent to the gypsum board panel, the sheet of water-vapor-resistant, flame-retardant material, and the edge sheets.
