A retainer strip for a window flashing used to weatherproof the installation of a window comprises a window grip leg for holding the retainer strip in a kerf in the window frame, and a flashing grip leg adapted to be mounted parallel to the side of the window frame for retaining the flashing in the space between the window grip leg and the side of the window frame.

A method of manufacturing and using a window assembly and a door assembly including a wrap useful as a structural element to prevent racking and jamb bowing of the window assembly and the door assembly during transport and installation and, after installation, as an integral vapor barrier and air infiltration seal. The window and door assembly including a frame having an outward edge defining an outer face therebetween and an inward edge defining an inner face therebetween. The wrap including a film of material having an outer marginal edge secured between the frame outward edge and frame inward edge and stretched taut across a face of the frame to maintain the frame in an unracked position.

Milti-function wrap

An assembly for multipaned windows and/or doors is fabricated from sashes having a fibrous wool core and a polymeric outer shell. The sash contains a plurality of orifices through the shell, but not the core, to provide a filtered path for air and moisture movement in and out of the cavities between panes to reduce the condensation of moisture on the panes.

Window frames and sashes are molded of fabricated fibrous wool impregnated with a binder and coated with a resin which soaks into the surface to form a strong protective skin.

Window sash and frame molded of fibrous material

The wall construction includes elongated molded fibrous channels secured together in side-by-side relationship and pairs of structural fastening strips secured to the channels, each joint between two adjacent channels having a pair of the structural fastening strips extending along the joint respectively adjacent opposite ends of leg portions of the channels.
