The present invention relates to a universal closure capable of fitting various sized container openings in sealed engagement The present invention also relates a universal dispensing closure capable of fitting various sized container openings in sealed engagement and used to house a secondary supply or dose of product and when the closure is activated dispense the secondary product or dose into a receiving vessel to which it is attached.

The invention provides a dispensing closure to supply a dose with an inverted dome having a housing, the housing having a septum, a convex dome, and an end plate seal. A main vessel can be attached to the inverted dome dispensing closure, and a user-actuated means for dispensing from the inverted dome dispensing closure into the main vessel is also provided. The invention provides a point of use dispensing device that will supply fresh healthy ingredients that are stored inside the closure.

A molded plastic drinking sleeve for push-on assembly to a neck portion of a container according to a typical embodiment includes an annular body formed by an annular sidewall having a uniform taper from a first open end to an opposite second open end, the annular sidewall defining an open interior. The annular sidewall further includes a series of external threads and a roller abutment at the base of the threads for stopping the roller equipment used to help fabricate a metal closing cap that is designed to thread onto the plastic drinking sleeve. The cooperating metal container that receives the drinking sleeve includes a portion that is curled over the upper edge of the drinking sleeve. A free edge of the curled portion is embedded into the plastic of the drinking sleeve.

A container and closure combination according to one embodiment of the present invention includes, as part of the closure, a tamper-evident band. The container includes a neck portion defining a dispensing opening and including an A diameter stop. The tamper-evident closure includes a closure body and the tamper-evident band is connected to the closure body by a plurality of frangible elements. A plurality of locking tabs are included as part of the tamper-evident band and are constructed and arranged to abut up against the A diameter stop upon retrograde rotation of the closure body from the container neck. The tamper-evident band further includes a radially inwardly extending ridge that is constructed and arranged to prevent repositioning of a plurality of the locking tabs to an orientation wherein the plurality of locking tabs would avoid abutment with the A diameter stop.

A dual syringe adapter for attachment to a pair of side-by-side syringes includes three interconnected portions. A first portion is configured so as to snap onto a plunger head portion of each syringe so as to connect the pair of syringes and maintain plunger movement in unison. A second portion of the adapter is configured so as to snap onto a syringe body of each syringe to help maintain the connection of the two syringes. The third interconnected portion is positioned between the first and second portions and when connected prevents relative movement of the plungers into the syringe bodies. Weakened sections allow the connecting portion to be severed from the first and second portions thereby allowing plunger movement into the syringe bodies. Once severed, the connecting portion is secured to syringe tips for dispensing a mixed composition.

A dispensing container for two flowable products for separately dispensing the two flowable products includes a first container receiving a first flowable product and including a first dispensing outlet and defining a hollow interior, a second container receiving a second flowable product and including a second dispensing outlet, the second container being positioned in the hollow interior. A fitment is assembled into the first dispensing outlet and connects to the second dispensing outlet. The fitment defines an inner outlet for dispensing the second flowable product and an outer outlet for dispensing the first flowable product. An adapter sleeve is assembled to the fitment. A hollow dispensing spout is inserted into the inner container, through the inner outlet, and defines an open outlet. A threaded closing cap is connected to the adapter sleeve and includes a plug portion for closing off the open outlet of the dispensing spout.

A product-dispensing apparatus for manually dispensing a quantity of product, such as a herbicide with a foam consistency, includes a gripping member in the form of a handle and a cooperating container holder that is assembled with the gripping member and is constructed and arranged to receive a product-dispensing container. The container is preferably a foamer positioned in an inverted orientation utilizing a depressing plunger to dispense a foam-consistency product. The gripping member and container holder are assembled to a dispensing tip such that there is relative movement between the container holder and the dispensing tip for activation of the container plunger. A child-resistant locking ring is received by the container holder and cooperates with the dispensing tip for alternately configuring the product-dispensing apparatus in either a locked or unlocked condition. In the locked condition, foam product is not able to be dispensed from the container.

A container closure assembly for closing the neck opening of a container includes a closure plug for threaded engagement with the neck opening, a sealing gasket positioned between the container and the closure plug, and a unitary, molded plastic overcap constructed and arranged for assembly to the closure plug. The overcap includes a top portion defining a pair of weakened score lines that partition the top portion into three sections. A surrounding sidewall connects a pair of flange sections to first and second outer sections of the top portion. A center post axially extends from the center section and includes external threads for engagement with internal threads on the closure plug. The overcap includes a raised portion in unitary construction with the top portion and spanning the pair of weakened score lines so as to visually reveal stress discoloration upon upward movement of the first and second outer sections.
