An ice fish house base has at least two skis, each coupled through at least two pivotal arms to an ice house base. The pivotal arms are pivotal between an elevated position and a lowered minimum position. The lowered position is stable when the ice house base comes into solid contact with the ground, thereby limiting maximum rotation in this ice-house-base-lowered position. In the upward position, a rotational pivotal arm stop prevents the pivotal arms from rotating further, so that the separation between ice house base and skis is just less than maximum. The weight of the ice house will also hold the ice house base at this fully rotated position. A quick attach receiver is provided for a bifurcated ice auger mount and several alternative accessory supports. In addition, several alternative trailer hitch couplers are disclosed that use a tensioning strap for securement.

A magnetically differential input circuit is arranged to define at least two loops, wherein each of the loops traverses the input of a receiving circuit. The loops are physically arranged so that a source of interference induces opposing signals in the loops, thereby effecting cancellation of the interference at the input of the receiving circuit. In one embodiment, the input circuit is arranged to be electrically differential as well as magnetically differential.

In one embodiment, a method provides multiple-tone wideband I/Q mismatch calibration. A plurality of calibration frequencies is selected within a channel. A calibration tone is applied to the channel at each of the plurality of calibration frequencies. An I/Q mismatch is estimated at each of the plurality of calibration frequencies. An n-th order filter is constructed to compensate received signals relative to the estimated I/Q mismatch related to each calibration frequency.

Receiver with multi-tone wideband I/Q mismatch calibration and method therefor

A device and method for mounting electrical boxes () in preexisting drywall () using a mounting bracket (). To use, a holding wire () having a stop () on one end is placed through a screw hole () of a cover () which is attached the electrical box. Then the electrical box and cover are placed sideways through a wall hole () in the drywall. Next the electrical box is lowered behind the wall so that conduit () may be connected to the electrical box. Then a mounting bracket () is secured to the cover and electrical box with holding clips () and screws () using the holding wire to keep the mounting bracket and cover centered with the wall hole. A standard switch or outlet cover may then be installed to cover the mounting bracket. An additional novel feature of the present invention is a stop strap () which may be attached to conduit above a top plate () of a wall to bold the conduit in place.

Device and method for mounting an electrical box in drywall

A receiver () includes a direct digital frequency synthesizer (), a mixer (), and a clock source (). The direct digital frequency synthesizer has an input terminal for receiving a first clock signal at a first frequency, and an output terminal for providing a digital local oscillator signal synchronously with the first clock signal. The mixer () has a first input terminal for receiving a radio frequency (RF) signal, a second input terminal coupled to the output terminal of the direct digital frequency synthesizer (), and an output terminal for providing an IF signal having a spectrum centered about a selectable one of a plurality of center frequencies. The clock source () has an output terminal for providing the first clock signal without using a harmonic frequency that overlaps the spectrum for the plurality of center frequencies.

Television receiver suitable for multi-standard operation and method therefor

A electrical housing knockout device () having a bracket () with a horizontal side () perpendicularly secured to a vertical side () and a sleeve element () connected to the horizontal side (). The sleeve element () includes a shaft () and a base () wherein a central opening () extends through the shaft () and base (). The sleeve element () also includes a collar ()located between the shaft () and base () wherein the collar () has an aperture (). The sleeve element () extends from the collar () at a predetermined angle. According to a disclosed method, a calibration signal is provided at a first frequency corresponding to a low frequency edge of a desired passband to an input of a filter (). A first value is measured at an output of the filter (). The calibration signal is provided at a second frequency corresponding to a high frequency edge of the desired passband to the input of the filter (). A second value is measured at the output of the filter (). The first value is compared to the second value. A characteristic of the filter () is changed in response to the comparing. In one form, the filter is an IF filter () and a receiver () includes both the IF filter () and a calibration circuit () for forming the calibration signal and providing the calibration signal to the IF filter to change the characteristic in response to a calibration operation.

Method and apparatus for calibrating a filter of a receiver

A method in which one of a high-side mix mode and a low-side mix mode is selected in response to an interference characteristic of a desired channel of a radio frequency (RF) input signal is disclosed. In the high-side mix mode, a direct digital frequency synthesizer () is initialized to output a digital local oscillator signal at a first frequency suitable for performing a high-side mix of the desired channel to an intermediate frequency (IF). In the low-side mix mode, the direct digital frequency synthesizer () is initialized to output the digital local oscillator signal at a second frequency suitable for performing a low-side mix of the desired channel to said IF. The RF input signal is mixed with the digital local oscillator signal to provide an IF output signal at the IF.

Selectable high-side/low-side mix for high intermediate frequency (IF) receivers

A tuner architecture is disclosed that mixes an analog RF input signal and a digital local oscillator signal to generate a output signal at a desired IF frequency, including low-IF and zero-IF solutions. The tuner provides a number of advantages over previous implementations, such as improved performance for low-IF and zero-IF architectures and a significant reduction in interference between adjacent paths in a multiple tuner solution. Other features and variations can be implemented, if desired, and related methods can be utilized, as well.

An input stage for an integrated circuit device provides constant gain in selectable modes of either differential or single-ended operation. In one embodiment, transconductance devices are arranged so that the input impedance of the input stage matches the signal source impedance, regardless whether the input stage is selected to operate in a differential mode or in a single-ended mode. In accordance with an alternative embodiment, constant-gain and constant-impedance conditions are maintained in a configuration that comprises and input signal attenuator. In one application, the input stage may serve as a low-noise amplifier (LNA) for an integrated transceiver.

Differential/single-ended input stage

A receiver () includes a mixing digital-to-analog converter (DAC) (A), a direct digital frequency synthesizer (DDFS) () and a dynamic element matching (DEM) circuit (). A DAC of the mixing DAC (A) is implemented as a segmented DAC having a thermometer encoded DAC section (A) and a binary encoded DAC section (B). The DDFS () includes outputs configured to provide bits associated with a digital LO signal to inputs of a switching section (A,B) of the mixing DAC (A). The DEM circuit () is coupled between the outputs of the DDFS () and the inputs of the switching section (A) that are associated with the thermometer encoded DAC section (A). The DEM circuit () is configured to scramble the bits provided to the thermometer encoded DAC section (A).
