The present invention relates to the administration of compounds of formula (I) for the treatment and/or prevention of fungal infections in subjects in need thereof. The methods of the invention also relates to the administration of pharmaceutical compositions comprising compounds of formula (I) for the treatment and/or prevention of fungal infections in subjects in need thereof. Subjects suffering from fungal infection and immunocompromised subjects may particularly benefit from the methods and compositions of the invention. 

Antifungal drugs

Methods of treating, preventing and ameliorating bacterial infections with 1,2-benzisothiazolinone and isoindolinone derivatives are disclosed. Pharmaceutical compositions containing 1,2-benzisothiazolinone and isoindolinone derivatives are useful for treating bacterial infections caused by drug resistant strains of bacteria, including but not limited to methicillin and vancomycin bacterial organisms.

Novel classes of 1,2-benzisothiazolinone and isoindolinone compounds and compositions are disclosed. These compounds and compositions are useful in treating, preventing, and/or ameliorating viral, yeast, and fungal infections such as, for example, Hepatitis C Virus, Flavivirus infections,, and candidiasis.
