An apparatus and method for providing an immutable audit trail for machine learning applications is described herein. The audit trail is preserved by recording the machine learning models and data in a data structure in immutable storage such as a WORM device, a cloud storage facility, or in a blockchain. The immutable audit trail is important for providing bank auditors with the reasons for lending or account opening reasons, for example. A graphical user interface is described to allow the archive of machine learning models to be viewed.

Disclosed is a system for authenticating checks using a mixed reality environment. The system includes a financial instrumentation central database for storing financial and identification data related to the checks, and a reality glasses coupled to the financial instrumentation central database. The reality glass includes a memory unit for storing a plurality of modules, a camera to capture the image of the check, a reality display; and a wearable processor coupled to the memory unit for processing the stored plurality of modules. The wearable processor is coupled to the financial instrumentation central database, to the camera to process captured images of the check. The plurality of modules includes a first level authentication module to authenticate a bank routing number, a second level authentication module to authenticate an account number on the check captured by the camera, a third level authentication module to authenticate an appropriate amount on the check, and a fourth level authentication module to authenticate a signature style on the check.

System for verifying documents using mixed reality applications

A two-step algorithm for conducting near real time fuzzy searches of a target on one or more large data sets is described, where the address and the geolocation are included in the match criteria. This algorithm includes the simplification of the data by removing grammatical constructs to bring the target search term (and the stored database) to their base elements and then perform a Levenshtein comparison to create a subset of the data set that may be a match. Location is determined by a geohash comparison of the latitude and longitude and a Levenshtein comparison of the address text. Then performing a scoring algorithm while comparing the target to the subset of the data set to identify any matches.

Method and apparatus for non-exact matching of addresses

Queue Information & Prediction System (QIPS) uses the probability of queue existing in a given venue to assess the queue time. The instantaneous queue time for a location may be determined using Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, or other wireless networks. QIPS uses the distances from signal strengths along with venue characteristics to determine an estimated queue time. Using queue probability for a venue and the instantaneous queue time for the same area QIPS may generate a Queue Decision Window (QDW). The QDW is a period of time leading up to a transaction or a consumption of a service. QIPS sorts through information surrounding a venue where crowds as well as queues may exists to determine queue time. Knowing the approximate queue time for transactions and consumption of services is helpful for consumers to manage their time.

Sounds, alarms or other indications of conditions of potential interest that are produced by appliances and other household devices are detected by one or more sensors to trigger a notification signal that is sent to a remotely located user. The signals produced by the sensors are advantageously compared with a database of signals representing conditions of potential interest produced by known appliances and devices, producing the appropriate notification signal when a match is found. Notifications may be relayed to one or more selected users only when predetermined conditions are satisfied.

Method and apparatus for providing policy-based access using an accelerometer

A device for projecting images from a video generating device such as a computer, television receiver, or similar device onto a screen or other surface is described in this invention. The device uses a rotating disk containing numerous lenses to direct a light beam from a laser or other light source towards the screen. In one embodiment, a pulsed laser light from red, green, and blue lasers are combined into a single light pulse that is transmitted through the rotating disk that transmit each light pulse to a specific location on the screen.

A system and method for encouraging a user of a recreational vehicle to wear safety equipment is described. The helmet contains a microprocessor and sensors to determine if the helmet is worn. The helmet communicates with the vehicle and the vehicle either disables operation or allows limited operation if the helmet is not worn. On motorized vehicles, the motor operation is restricted. On human powered vehicles mechanical resistance may limit operation.

Cookware may use hardware for automated cooking actions, such as a magnetic stirrer and driver for stirring the contents in cookware, all monitored by various sensors located in the cookware.

The device uses fiber optics to transfer data and is powered by either a Power over Fiber system or by a switched battery system. The device protects against radiation, magnetic pulses, and electronic pulses using an enclosure that incorporates a faraday cage, a radiation shield, and/or a magnetic shield.

The FaceBack system incorporates an automated mechanism for remotely capturing the reaction of the receiver of a text message. This mechanism is started when the texter incorporates instructions into a text message to take a photo or record a video when the text is read by a receiver. The receiving device scans the incoming text message and takes a photo or records a video of the receiving user when the user reads the text message. Once the video is recorded or the picture is taken, the video or picture is returned to the texter through the SMS system.
