A method, and associated computer program product and mobile computing device, for backing-up information stored in the mobile computing device. The mobile computing device detects one or more support computing devices located within a corresponding communication range and being available to support the mobile computing device for backing-up the information stored in the mobile computing device. The mobile computing device detects a dangerous condition indicative of a risk of inoperability of the mobile computing device. The mobile computing device sends back-up information corresponding to selected information stored in the mobile computing device to at least one of the support computing devices in response to the detection of the dangerous condition to cause the at least one support computing device to upload the back-up information to a back-up computing system.

A method, computer system, and a computer program product for authenticating a user in a computing system is provided. A corresponding method comprises validating one or more user snapshots of the user that should have been acquired in corresponding acquisition conditions according to their match with the corresponding acquisition conditions; the user snapshots are then sent (at least in part) to one or more authenticators requesting them to identify the user. A computer program and a computer program product for performing the method are also proposed. Moreover, a corresponding system is proposed.

A system for performing a remote pre-authentication of a user-device for accessing network services of one or more wi-fi network services of one or more wi-fi network providers. A data capturing module captures wi-fi registration data and user registration data. A receiving module receives a trip code relating to a user's travel bookings. An identifying module identifies geographical locations corresponding to the set of travel bookings associated with the user. An auto-populating module auto-populates a set of wi-fi login forms corresponding to the geographical locations. A gathering module gathers real-time location data of the user. An over-riding module over-rides the wi-fi registration process when the user comes within the range of the wi-fi service provider.

Remote pre-authentication of a user device for accessing network services

A solution is proposed for managing a multi-tenant software application adapted to serve a plurality of tenants. A deletion request is received for deleting one of the tenants from the plurality of tenants. Responsive to receiving the deletion request, an instance of the software application associated with the tenant to be deleted is disabled. The disabled instance of the software application associated with the tenant to be deleted is deleted after a protection period from the deletion request. An addition request for adding a new tenant to the software application is received. An instance of the software application for the new tenant is allocated to a selected instance of the software application.

In an approach for visually enhancing tactile metadata, a computer receives an image on a first computing device. The computer selects an object from one or more objects depicted within the received image. The computer determines boundaries of the selected object. The computer assigns an object tag to the selected object within the determined boundaries, wherein the assigned object tag includes one or more keywords and terms describing the selected object. The computer assigns tactile metadata to the selected object within the determined boundaries based on one or more physical properties associated with the assigned object tag. The computer creates a visually enhanced image based on the assigned tactile metadata, wherein the assigned tactile metadata includes one or more physical properties associated with the assigned object tag capable of being represented visually.

A multi-tenant software program is maintained in a computing environment having a plurality of compatible instances of the program, each adapted to serve a plurality of tenants, with each controlling corresponding individual data. The method includes: receiving a maintenance request for a target instance, the target instance having one or more target tenants each controlling corresponding target individual data; selecting an auxiliary instance from other instances different from the target instance; providing the target individual data of each target tenant to the auxiliary instance; redirecting each target tenant by forwarding each target tenant request to the auxiliary instance; applying a maintenance operation on the target instance according to the maintenance request; returning the target individual data of each target tenant from the auxiliary instance in response to the applying of the maintenance operation; and restoring the serving of each target tenant request by the target instance.

A solution for locating unprotected access points is provided. Particularly, a wireless network access point providing an access to a network over a wireless connection maintains a location structure comprising an indication of a geographical position of each one of a set of unprotected access points in proximity of the access point, each unprotected access point providing the access to the network at least partially unconditionally. A mobile station submits a request to access the network to the access point when the mobile station is within a transmission range thereof, receives the indication of the geographical position of at least part of the unprotected access points in response to a denial of the access from the access point, and outputs directions towards one of the unprotected access points according to the corresponding geographical position.

According to one aspect of the present disclosure, a method and technique for automatically associating a wireless device to a data processing system using biometric data is disclosed. The method includes: receiving biometric data corresponding to a user of a data processing system; creating a certificate by the data processing system based on the biometric data; discovering a wireless device able to communicate with the data processing system; responsive to discovering the wireless device, automatically requesting a certificate from the wireless device; and, responsive to the certificate from the wireless device matching the certificate created by the data processing system, automatically associating the wireless device with the data processing system.

The method comprises scanning the matrix barcode row by row and column by column resulting in received squares, storing a corresponding white color level for each received white square, and comparing the white color levels of the received white squares couple-wise.
