Plant () for the continuous casting of metal products comprising a mould () in which a metal (L) in the molten state is able to be poured with a determinate flow rate (Q), a regulation device () capable of regulating said flow rate (Q), a control unit () configured to manage at least the movements of said regulation device (), and at least one detection device () capable of detecting every punctual variation of the level () of metal (L) in said mould () with respect to a nominal value thereof and generating a corresponding variation signal (SV) and sending it said control unit (), which is capable of generating a command signal (RS) for said regulation device () in order to cause a desired variation of the flow rate (Q). The present invention also concerns the regulation method for generating the above command signal (RS).

Continuous casting plant and corresponding regulation method

Secondary cooling apparatus in a machine for continuous casting of metal products, such that each metal product is cast, contained and guided along an axis of movement. The secondary cooling apparatus includes a plurality of cooling assemblies disposed in sequence one to the other along the continuous casting machine. Each assembly includes a plurality of cooling units each provided with one or more nozzles disposed along the axis of movement. The cooling units of each assembly are adjacent to each other to cover a width at least equal to the maximum width of the metal product which can be cast in the continuous casting machine.

Secondary cooling apparatus in a machine for continuous casting of metal products

A method to control a secondary cooling apparatus in a machine for continuous casting of metal products is provided. The secondary cooling apparatus includes a plurality of cooling units equipped with nozzles, each nozzle is provided with delivery orifices from which a refrigerant fluid is delivered, on each occasion according to the punctual cooling needs, toward a metal product.

A guiding unit for slabs comprising at least two rolls (') connected to each other and adapted to rotate along a same axis X; wherein each roll comprises a first tubular element () and a second tubular element (), which is external and coaxial to axis X and to the first tubular element and removable from said first tubular element; wherein cooling channels () are provided in each roll between said first tubular element and said second tubular element for the passage of a coolant liquid; wherein each roll comprises a respective hub at its two ends; and wherein each hub is provided with cavities communicating with the cooling channels of the respective roll so as to define a path for the coolant liquid from a first end to a second end of the guiding unit crossing said at least two rolls.
