An inline multi-pin connector includes cylindrical male and female connector members which are electrically connected together by pushing the two members together end-to-end. Either the male or the female connector member has a metal cylinder disposed about its conductive pins or sockets, which are adapted for mutual engagement, while the other connector member is provided with inner threads. The metal cylinder includes plural resilient, spaced arms, or tabs, disposed about its outer periphery and urged radially outward and into engagement with the other member's threads to connect the two connector members. Coaxial seals are disposed between and in contact with the two members as is a compressible O-ring seal. The outer periphery of the inner member's cylindrical insulator is provided with alternating peaks and valleys, while the other member's metal cylinder is provided with inwardly extending resilient arms which are adapted for positioning within a respective facing valley to prevent vibration-induced disconnection.

Push lock electrical connector

A connector suitable for mounting to a solenoid or the like includes a contact holder adapted to receive and hold a plurality of contact assemblies. Each contact assembly includes a band of closed configuration and having a central opening for receiving the stripped end of a wire, and a contact adapted to couple to an associated contact of the solenoid. A screw is threadedly received in each band and adapted to force the contact into electrical engagement with the wire held within the opening of the band.

Field-attachable connector with sliding contacts

An electrical connector includes first and second mating sections (). The first section () forms a plurality of channels () for receiving wires (). The second section () has receptacles (A&#x2013;D) for receiving contact elements () having IDC contacts for connecting respectively to the wires. The contact elements are constructed so that they may be placed in any one of four quadrature positions while providing a dual IDC connection with its associated wire.

Molded electrical connector with plural paired insulation displacement contacts

A field-attachable contact assembly includes a contact having a seat portion which includes a wire-receiving aperture having a generally circular portion for receiving an insulated wire and a narrowing V-shaped portion for establishing an insulation displacement connection with the wire. A pusher includes a slot for receiving the seat of the contact, and an aperture which, when aligned with the circular portion of the contact opening, receives the wire. The pusher is then pushed onto the contact to establish an IDC electrical connection between the contact and the wire.
