Systems and methods are presented to prevent denial of service attacks through the use of an interleaved pseudo-random sequence that is generated from two or more pseudo-random codes. Portions of the pseudo-random codes are interleaved with each other using a pre-determined instruction pattern. A message incorporating the interleaved sequence is transmitted to a receiver, which identifies the interleaved bit sequence in the message and, if the interleaved bit sequence is identified in the message, allows access to the service.

Systems and methods to prevent denial of service attacks

Embodiments of a multiplatform system and method for ranging correction use spread-spectrum ranging waveforms over a netted data link. Each node may have a trajectory toward a target and may have a navigational error with respect to the trajectory. The nodes may transmit coded waveforms at one or more scheduled times for receipt by one or more of the other nodes during unused time slots on the netted data link. The nodes may correlate coded waveforms received from the other nodes to estimate a range to at least some of the other nodes. Each node may reset its navigational error and revise its trajectory based on the range estimates to the other nodes to avoid a possible collision with one or more of the other nodes.

Multiplatform system and method for ranging correction using spread spectrum ranging waveforms over a netted data link

Embodiments of a system and method for communicating over a fading channel are generally described herein. A transmitter uses a water-filling technique at lower power levels when the channel is not experiencing fading and uses channel-inversion technique at higher power levels when the channel is experiencing some fading. The transmitter refrains from communicating when the channel is experiencing deep fading. An average transmit power specification is maintained over a predetermined period of time even though transmissions using the channel-inversion technique may significantly exceed the average transmit power specification.
