A breathing hose is configured to duct inhaled and exhaled gas between a user and a rebreather apparatus. The breathing hose includes a non-collapsible flexible outer tube and a collapsible inner tube located within the non-collapsible flexible outer tube. The collapsible inner tube is configured to inflate to accommodate the exhaled gas of the user and to deflate to accommodate the inhaled gas of the user. The collapsible inner tube has a size that accommodates at least a portion of a breath volume of the user and may have a size that is configured to accommodate a maximum breath volume of the user. The collapsible inner tube is configured to act to maintain a constant total volume of gas in the lungs of the user and in the rebreather unit throughout a breathing cycle. The breathing hose may be part of a closed-circuit or semi closed-circuit rebreather apparatus.

A disclosed diver fin includes a blade and a foot pocket, distinct from one another and releasably connected to one another by one or more rails extending from a leading edge of the blade to the foot pocket. The rails extend from either side of the foot pocket and extend parallel to one another at least partway along the length of the blade towards a trailing edge of the blade. Each rail includes two sections: a first rail section, extending from the leading edge of the blade and terminating in a free end, and a second rail section, extending from the foot pocket and terminating in a free end. The free end of one rail section includes a female recess, and the free end of the other rail section terminates in a male extension, slidably receivable in the female recess. The disclosed fin is reconfigurable to accommodate different diving conditions.

Harness

A method of manufacturing a harness for a buoyancy control device, and a harness manufactured by such method. There is provided a method of manufacturing a harness for a buoyancy control device for use in a diving application, the method including the steps of: providing polymeric material; molding the polymeric material into separate components of the harness; and connecting the components to one another so as to form the harness. A harness including a plurality of molded polymeric components interconnected is also described.
