This packaging device comprises a first stage () of supporting units () configured to support a first plurality of medical containers () in a first plane, a second stage () of supporting units () configured to support a second plurality of medical containers () in a second plane parallel to said first plane, the first plane and the second plane being spaced apart from each other so that the distal ends () of the first plurality of medical containers () extend between medical containers of the second plurality of medical containers (), and the supporting units () of the first and second stages () being configured so that the medical containers of the first and second pluralities of medical containers () are oriented in a same direction. The first stage () of supporting units () is formed by a first plate-shaped nest and the second stage () of supporting units () is formed by a second plate-shaped nest.
