A system for treating and/or monitoring a patient includes a patient physiological parameter monitoring patch and a companion device. The patient physiological parameter monitoring patch including an energy harvesting module, an energy storage module, a sensor module and a communication module. The energy harvesting module harvesting energy from one or more ambient sources, the energy being storable in the energy storage module and usable by one or more components of the patient physiological parameter monitoring patch. The sensor module senses one or more physiological parameters of the patient and the communication module can transmit the sensed data. The companion device can receive the sensed physiological parameters and can send the same to a remote device or store the same.

Systems and methods for ambient energy powered physiological parameter monitoring

A defibrillation system that includes a first defibrillation device and a second defibrillation device. The first defibrillation device including a therapy module, a communication module, a physiological parameter module and a timing control unit. The second defibrillation device including a therapy module and a communication module. The timing control unit configured to output an instruction to cause the therapy module of the first defibrillator and the therapy module of the second defibrillator to each discharge an energy delivery according to a timing relationship.

System for control of multiple defibrillation therapies

A cabinet capable of attenuating or blocking wireless signals contains, a medical device, such as an AED, an internal directional antenna mounted to an internal surface of the cabinet, an external omnidirectional antenna mounted to an external surface of the cabinet, and an electrical connection between the internal directional antenna and the external omnidirectional antenna. The internal and external antennas are configured to transmit wireless signals at particular frequencies and to receive wireless signals at the particular frequencies. The internal antenna is a high gain directional antenna, and the external antenna is a lower gain omnidirectional antenna.
