An armrest pivot assembly may be provided for a passenger seat. An armrest pivot assembly includes an armrest support defining an aperture having an aperture wall. The aperture wall includes a first pivot-limiting feature. The armrest pivot assembly also includes an armrest pivot within the aperture of the armrest support and rotatable within the aperture relative to the armrest support. The armrest pivot includes a perimeter wall having a second pivot-limiting feature, and the first pivot-limiting feature and the second pivot-limiting feature define a range of rotation of the armrest pivot relative to the armrest support.

Described are tray tables for passenger seats having a first surface, a second surface opposite from the first surface, and at least one of a pocket, a control panel, or a table support. The pocket may be defined in one of the surfaces of a tray table and have a pocket surface that is recessed in the tray table relative to the second surface. The control panel may be embedded in one of the surfaces of a tray table and may control at least one piece of cabin equipment associated with a passenger seat having the tray table. The table support may be connected between opposing sides of a tray table to pivotably support the tray table on a seat back of a passenger seat having the tray table.

A system for securing a passenger seat to a track can include a fitting coupled with or forming a portion of the passenger seat; a shear plunger coupled with the fitting including a shear plunger body defining a shear plunger locking surface; a guide pin assembly that may include a guide pin movable along a lift axis between a retracted state and an extended state and a locking member extending laterally from the guide pin that may travel in response to a movement of the guide pin from the retracted state to the extended state and may engage the shear plunger locking surface in response to a rotation of the guide pin in the extended state; and a quick install tool operable to raise and twist the guide pin assembly such that the locking member is held in tension against the shear plunger locking surface.

Described is a passenger seat assembly that may include a seat back including a rearward surface, a seat shroud positioned proximate to the rearward surface of the seat back and fixedly coupled to a seat frame, wherein the seat shroud remains stationary as the seat back moves between a stowed position and a deployed position, and at least one moveable shroud member coupled to the seat shroud at an attachment point and positioned proximate a rearward surface of the seat shroud, wherein a location of the attachment point is adjustable.

An offset leg assembly for a passenger seat for a vehicle such as an aircraft is provided. The leg assembly can include a base leg portion having a lower end configured to operably couple to a seat track coupling assembly and an upper end opposite the lower end, and an upper leg portion coupled to a lateral side of the upper end of the base leg portion, the upper leg portion having an aperture configured to receive a base frame tube of the passenger seat. The upper leg portion can be positioned laterally offset from the seat track coupling assembly along the base frame such that the upper mounting location on the base frame tubes is not vertically aligned with the lower mounting location to the aircraft fuselage attachment points.

A structural shroud for a passenger seat assembly includes a hollow body having a first end, a second end opposite from the first end, and a central cavity between the first end and the second end. In certain embodiments, the structural shroud may include a magnesium alloy and/or an aluminum alloy, and may be formed via casting, forging, and/or additive manufacturing, among others. In some embodiments, a base frame assembly for a passenger seat assembly includes a monolithic base frame having a first leg portion and a first tube portion integrally formed with the first leg portion.

Described are passenger seat bottom assemblies that include a layered seat bottom assembly formed of a first face sheet, a lightweight core layer, and a second face sheet bonded together, preferably in a flat or substantially flat arrangement. The core layer can be a honeycomb structure, e.g. a metal or aluminum honeycomb, or a foam, that confers a high strength and stiffness to the seat bottom assembly with minimal forming and minimal weight.

The reclining mechanism includes an actuator coupled to a recline lock linkage. Motion track segments of the spreader may cause a particular recline motion. For example, the motion track segments may cause the seat body to rotate about an axis adjacent to the headrest during transition from an upright position to a reclined position of the passenger seat. Additionally or alternatively, the motion track segments may be configured such that the seat pan translates down and forward when the passenger seat transitions from an upright position to a reclined position, and such that the seat back is constrained to undergo less than less than 3 inches (7.62 cm) of rearward translation in recline travel when the passenger seat transitions from the upright position to the reclined position.

Described are torque bearing assemblies for passenger seats. A torque bearing attachment () includes an elongated body having a forward edge configured to mate with an aft end () of a seat bottom pan (), and first and second side edges having attachment elements () for connecting the assembly with a passenger seat frame (). The first and second side edges can be positioned orthogonal to the forward edge and at opposite ends of the elongated body with respect to each other.

A passenger seat assembly can include a seat frame; a seat back supported by the seat frame, comprising a rearward surface, and moveable between a stowed position and a deployed position; and a monitor shroud positioned proximate to the rearward surface of the seat back and fixedly coupled to a stationary surface, wherein the monitor shroud remains stationary as the seat back moves between the stowed position and the deployed position, and the monitor shroud defines an opening that provides access to the rearward surface of the seat back.
