Systems, methods, client devices, and non-transitory computer-readable media are disclosed for utilizing mobile devices and/or audio scraping to generate audio memories that are tied to particular events within a networking system. For example, the disclosed systems can identify videos stored within a networking system associated with a particular event or person and generate audio memories from the videos (for a user). In some cases, the disclosed systems can receive a user interaction requesting to create an audio memory and, via a mobile device, capture an audio memory. Subsequently, in one or more embodiments, the disclosed systems can identify stored audio memories that match to an event that corresponds to a user and surface the identified audio memories within a mobile device of the user. Indeed, the disclosed systems can cause the mobile device to play an audio memory from the surfaced audio memories.

Generating audio-based memories within a networking system

An audio system comprises a plurality of membranes within an enclosure. A first surface of each of the plurality of membranes is part of a shared back volume within the enclosure and pressure within the shared back volume is configured to be isobaric. A second surface of each of the membranes is part of a front volume within the enclosure that includes a plurality of ports. A controller of the audio system is configured to drive the plurality of membranes. In a mode of operation, the controller is configured to match audio output between the plurality of ports, forming pressure waves of equal amplitude and opposite phase and generating a substantially dipole or linear quadrupole sound wave radiation pattern for frequencies above a predefined threshold and mismatch audio output between the plurality of ports for frequencies at or below the predefined threshold to generate a substantially monopole or cardioid sound wave radiation pattern.

Force-cancelling, isobaric audio system with configurable bass and privacy modes

A headset includes a speaker, such as a side firing dipole speaker. The headset includes a front chamber that receives sound waves from a first side of the speaker and a rear chamber that receives sound waves from a second side of the speaker. A control leak channel connects the front chamber and the rear chamber. An acoustic mesh may be located within the control leak channel. The speaker configuration is configured to reduce total harmonic distortion of the speaker, particularly in ranges such as 3-6 kHz, while maintaining the broadband efficiency of the speaker.
