A sterilization system including an oxygen generator, an ozone generator, a mixer, a wash chamber, and a sterilization chamber is disclosed. The oxygen generator is configured to generate a flow of oxygen. The ozone generator is in fluid communication with the oxygen generator, and configured to generate a flow of ozone from the flow of oxygen. The mixer is in fluid communication with the ozone generator and configured to receive the flow of ozone and a flow of cleaning fluid, and mix the flow of ozone into the flow of cleaning fluid, resulting in a flow of ozonated cleaning fluid. The wash chamber is in fluid communication with the mixer and configured to receive the flow of ozonated cleaning fluid from the mixer. The sterilization chamber is in fluid communication with the ozone generator and is configure to receive the flow of ozone.

Sterilizing using ozone

An interior rearview mirror assembly for a vehicle includes a mounting structure configured to attach at an interior portion of the vehicle and a mirror head pivotally mounted at the mounting structure. The mirror head includes a mirror reflective element and a ball stud that pivotally mounts the mirror head at a socket element of the mounting structure. The ball stud is a metallic element having a base portion and a neck region that extends from the base portion, with a ball member at an end of the neck region distal from the base portion. The ball stud includes a passageway formed at least through the base portion and the neck region. A mounting portion is molded at least partially around the base portion to attach the ball stud at the mirror head. The passageway of the ball stud is at least partially filled with a polymeric material.

Pivot mounting assembly for interior rearview mirror

The invention relates to a sterilizers and methods of sterilization of an instrument. The sterilizer includes an ozone generator, an air mover, an oxygen concentrator, and a controller. The ozone generator, which is housed by the sterilization chamber, generates at least one plasma field. The air mover circulates air through the sterilization chamber. The oxygen concentrator delivers oxygen-concentrated air to the sterilization chamber. The controller communicates with the ozone generator, the air mover, and the oxygen concentrator. The sterilizer may also include a battery to power the components of the sterilizer. A portable case may house the sterilizer.

A component part has an over-molded integrally formed insert member. The insert member has a predetermined feature. In addition, an end portion of the predetermined feature is exposed and free from over-molding.

Over-molded component assembly and method of forming the same

A snap-fit joint for connecting frame members includes a male member having an insertion end, a top portion, and opposite sidewalls. A female member has a socket to receive the male member insertion end. The socket includes an upstanding wall that temporarily flexes outwardly. Co-acting surfaces of the upstanding socket wall and the male member sidewall include co-acting surfaces in temporarily contact during insertion of the male member into the female member socket to temporarily outwardly flex the upstanding socket wall and seat the male member. The socket wall terminates in a tab and the male member sidewall surface terminates in a recess. The male member is fully seated in the socket, and the co-acting surfaces are out of contact with each other, the upstanding socket wall returns to an unflexed condition, and the socket tab is received in sidewall to lock the male member within the socket.

Snap-fit joint for plastic frame elements and frame formed thereby

A snap-fit joint comprises plastic male and female members. The male member has a flexible wall shaped along its length to define a terminal anchor portion and a relatively narrower neck portion defined by opposing curved indentations of the wall. The opposing curved indentations taper inwardly from a top to a bottom, such that the distance between opposing curved indentations of the wall is least at the bottom of the wall and greatest at the top. The female member comprises a socket corresponding in shape to that of the male member. As the male member is inserted into the socket, the curved indentations of the male member are flexed inwardly until the male member is seated in the socket.

Snap-fit joint for plastic frame elements and frames formed thereby

A method of molding a valve lifter guide includes determining a flow path of injected material in the mold cavity by including a thin walled section in the formed guide. A leading edge of the material flow path forms a dam when crossing a thin walled section in the mold cavity to change a direction of a portion of the leading edge of the material flow path, until the leading edge meets a trailing edge of the material. The valve lifter guide includes a front wall, rear wall, a first radiused end wall, a second radiused end wall, and a bottom surface having an elongated socket. A tab extending from the valve guide support member has a first projection. The valve guide support member is disposed between the engine block and a cylinder head and the first projection is received in an opening of the engine block.

Valve lifter guide and method of forming same

A valve lifter guide mountable in the engine block of an internal combustion engine, the valve lifter guide comprising at least one elongated socket defining a longitudinal axis, the at least one socket dimensioned to receive a valve lifter therein, and at least one tab projecting away from the valve lifter guide along an axis which is non-parallel to the longitudinal axis of the at least one socket. The at least one tab includes a projection thereon which is dimensioned to be received in an opening provided in the engine block. The tab further defines a surface, oriented in a plane generally perpendicular to the orientation of the projection, which is capturable between the engine block and cylinder head.

Valve lifter guide and method of using same

A vehicular exterior mirror assembly comprises a base assembly adapted for fixed attachment to an exterior portion of the vehicle and a reflective element assembly pivotally attached to the base assembly and supported thereby. A pivot member having a perimeter wall is interposed between the base assembly and the reflective element assembly and defines an axis of rotation between the base assembly and the reflective element assembly. A side-acting detent assembly is mounted to one of the base assembly and the reflective element assembly, and has a side-acting detent assembly member positioned to exert a force against the perimeter wall of the pivot member normal to the axis of rotation. One of the pivot member and the side-acting detent assembly member comprises at least one indentation and the other of the pivot member and the side-acting detent assembly member comprises a bearing element. The reflective element assembly can be pivoted relative to the base assembly against the force exerted by the side-acting detent assembly member and, when the bearing element engages with the at least one indentation, the reflective element assembly will be held in a position defined by the at least one indentation relative to the base assembly by said force.

Multi-function side detent for vehicular mirror

A plurality of snap-fit fasteners is used to assemble a vehicular mirror assembly, such as attaching a tilt actuator to a mounting frame or the mounting frame to a mirror housing. The fasteners comprise a resilient mounting post having a bulb portion and an adjoining undercut or neck portion with a bore extending coaxially therethrough which is received in a mating aperture in a snap fit communication.
