A gas turbine engine according to an example of the present disclosure include a compressor section, a combustor, and a turbine section. The combustor has a radially outer surface that defines a diffuser chamber radially outwardly of the combustor. The turbine section has a high pressure turbine first stage blade that has an outer tip, and a blade outer air seal positioned radially outwardly of the outer tip. A tap for tapping air has been compressed by the compressor and is passed through a heat exchanger. The air downstream of the heat exchanger passes through at least one pipe and into a manifold radially outward of the blade outer air seal, and then passes across the blade outer air seal to cool the blade outer air seal.

A spacer assembly for a rotor assembly of a gas turbine engine includes an endwall segment having a non-axisymmetric flowpath surface, a first depression and a second depression. A perimeter of the flowpath surface includes a forward edge, an aft edge, a suction side edge and a pressure side edge. The first depression is formed along the flowpath surface adjoining the suction side edge, and the second depression is formed along the flowpath surface adjoining the pressure side edge.

A low pressure turbine engine component for use in an engine, for propelling a vehicle such as an aircraft is formed by a disk portion and a plurality of low pressure turbine blades extending outwardly from the disk portion. Each of the low pressure turbine blades has an airfoil portion with an axial chord length and a trailing edge. The low pressure turbine blades are spaced apart so that there is a pitch-to-chord ratio greater than 1.4, wherein the pitch is a distance between the trailing edges of adjacent ones of the low pressure turbine blades and the chord is the axial chord length of the blades.

An airfoil extends between radially inner and radially outer platforms. The airfoil extends between a leading edge and a trailing edge, and merges into facing surfaces of the radially inner and outer platforms. A variable fillet merges a facing surface of one of the radially inner and outer platforms into a wall of the airfoil. The variable fillet has a length extending away from a surface of the airfoil and a height extending away from the facing surface of at least one of the radially inner and outer platforms outwardly on to the airfoil. The variable fillet has a greater length at one of the leading edge and the trailing edge. A spaced portion has a shorter length at locations spaced from at least one of the leading and trailing edges. A mid-turbine frame and a gas turbine engine are also disclosed.

A turbomachine includes an annular flow path section between a plurality of radially extending stator vanes and a plurality of radially extending rotor blades. At least a first portion of the flow path section has a circumferentially varying outer periphery which includes a recess circumferentially alternating with axisymmetric surfaces.

An airfoil array is disclosed. The airfoil array may include an endwall, and a plurality of airfoils radially projecting from the endwall. Each airfoil may have a first side and an opposite second side extending axially in chord between a leading edge and a trailing edge. The airfoil array may further include a convex profiled region extending from the endwall adjacent the first side of at least one of said plurality of airfoils and near the leading edge of the at least one of said plurality of airfoils. The airfoil array may further include a concave profiled region in the endwall adjacent the first side of said at least one of said plurality of airfoils and aft of the convex profiled region.

A turbomachine includes an annular flow path section between a plurality of radially extending stator blades and a plurality of radially extending rotor blades. At least a portion of the flow path section has a circumferentially varying outer periphery.

An example airfoil assembly includes a base having an airfoil projecting radially therefrom. The base extends laterally away from the airfoil. The airfoil extends axially from an airfoil leading edge portion to an airfoil trailing edge portion. The base has a humped area forward the airfoil leading edge portion.
