Total heat prosthesis

An inflation system, in particular for cardiac assistance, has a rotary dributor driven by a motor controlled by an electronic circuit. The rotary distributor places a bag and an inflation fluid reservoir in communication through a pump for alternately inflating the bag from the reservoir and emptying the bag into the reservoir. The electronic circuit controls the rotary distributor during inflation and deflation and progressively controls the speed of the pump during inflation, and during deflation interrupts the power supply to the motor.

The invention relates to a sequential pneumatic control device, supplied with electric energy, for a total cardiac prosthesis (4) formed by a biventricular monobloc assembly with pneumatic operation, this device being contained in at least one sealed case (10) implantable in the human body; this device comprises an enclosure forming a drive fluid reserve defined by a wall at least partially flexible (12) subjected to the internal pressure of the human body, whereby the initial pressure of the drive fluid is made permanently dependent on said internal pressure of the body, which serves as a reference pressure.

Sequential pneumatic control device, supplied with electric energy

A rotatable load is driven and/or supported and/or guided by wheels carried by a stationary frame and capable of running along at least one track provided on the load. The bearings of each wheel are housed within a rocker-arm, one end of which is supported on the stationary frame by elastic means and the other end of which is supported on the frame by a movable stop associated with driving means.
