The invention relates to an epoxy pre-polymer comprising isosorbide units, characterized in that it comprises less than 1% by weight of isosorbide diglycidyl ether relative to the total weight of the epoxy pre-polymer. The invention also relates to a method for producing such an epoxy pre-polymer.

Oligomeric epoxy pre-polymers comprising isosorbide units

A crystallization method that comprises a step of providing a polyester comprising at least one 1,4:3,6-dianhydrohexitol unit, and a step of crystallizing this semi-crystalline polyester at a pressure of at least 600 mbar absolute. The method according to the invention makes it possible to strongly limit, or even eliminate, the phenomenon of polyester expansion during crystallization. Advantageously, the elimination of the expansion phenomenon through pressure conditions implemented according to the invention thus makes it possible to dispense with obtaining very fragile empty spheres that break when agitated and thus cause the formation of undesirable fine particles.

Method for crystallizing a polyester comprising at least one 1,4:3,6-dianhydrohexitol unit

A thermoplastic polyester, and in particular a thermoplastic polyester including at least one 1,4:3,6-dianhydro-L-iditol unit (A), at least one linear aliphatic diol unit (B), at least one aromatic dicarboxylic unit (C), the thermoplastic polyester having a reduced viscosity in solution (25° C.; phenol (50 wt. %):ortho-dichlorobenzene (50 wt. %); 5 g of polyester/L) greater than 25 mL/g. A method for preparing such a polyester, a composition including the same and the use of the thermoplastic polyester for the production of finished or semi-finished plastic articles. The thermoplastic polyester is advantageous in that it has a particularly high incorporation rate of 1,4:3,6-dianhydro-L-iditol (A) units, at least greater than 85%, and most specifically at least greater than 90%.

The invention relates to a thermoplastic polymer comprising at least one 1,4:3,6-dianhydrohexitol unit (A), at least one alicyclic diol unit (B) other than the 1,4:3,6-dianhydrohexitol units (A) and at least one high-viscosity terephthalic acid unit (C).

High-viscosity polyester with improved impact properties

The present invention relates to a crosslinkable composition for forming a polyurethane coating on different types of substrate. The present invention relates in particular to a polyurethane composition comprising isosorbide as a diol chain extender, and to the polyurethane coating obtained from this composition.

A thermoplastic composite comprising a thermoplastic polymer matrix comprising an amorphous polyester containing 1,4: 3,6-dianhydrohexitol units, an alicyclic diol and terephthalic acid, wherein diol component comprises 1,4:3,6-dianhydrohexitol and alicyclic diol in ratio from 0.32 to 0.75; and thermoplastic fibers comprising a semi-crystalline polyester containing 1,4: 3,6-dianhydrohexitol units, an alicyclic diol and terephthalic acid, wherein diol component comprises 1,4:3,6-dianhydrohexitol and alicyclic diol in ratio from 0.05 to 0.30 are disclosed. Methods for producing the polymer composite are also disclosed.

Thermoplastic composite

The invention relates to a composition comprising: at least one aliphatic polyester (A) comprising diols containing at least ethylene glycol, 1,4-butanediol or mixtures thereof and diacids containing at least succinic acid, adipic acid or mixtures thereof; at least one starch (B); at least one organic plasticiser (C) for starch; optionally, an additional polyester or a mixture of additional polyesters (D) different from polyester (A). The composition is characterised in that it also comprises citric acid (E), the amount by weight of citric acid varying between 0.01 and 0.45 parts per 100 parts of the total dry weight of (A), (B), (C) and (D).

Composition of polyester and thermoplastic starch, having improved mechanical properties

The invention concerns a method for producing a polyester containing at least one 1,4:3,6-dianhydrohexitol unit comprising: &#x2022;a step of introducing, into a reactor, monomers comprising at least one monomer (A) that is a diacid or a diester and at least one monomer (B) that is a 1,4:3,6-dianhydrohexitol; &#x2022;a step of introducing, into the reactor, a catalytic system comprising either a catalyst comprising the element germanium and a catalyst comprising the element aluminum, or a catalyst comprising the elements germanium and aluminum, or a mixture of said two catalysts; &#x2022;a step of polymerizing said monomers to form the polyester; &#x2022;a step of recovering a polyester composition comprising the polyester and the catalytic system. The invention also concerns a polyester composition containing a catalytic system comprising either a catalyst comprising the element germanium and a catalyst comprising the element aluminum, or a catalyst comprising the elements germanium and aluminum, or a mixture of said two catalysts, and the use of same to reduce the coloring of the polyester.

Method for producing a polyester containing at least one 1,4:3,6-dianhydrohexitol unit with improved colouring

A polyester including at least one furandicarboxylate unit, at least one saturated, linear or branched, diol unit including from 2 to 10 carbon atoms, and at least one bicyclic diol unit, the said bicyclic diol being chosen from: isosorbide, isoidide, isomannide, 2,3:4,5-di-O-methylene-galactitol, and 2,4:3,5-di-O-methylene-D-mannitol. The glass transition temperature of the polyester is greater than or equal to 90&#xb0; C. Processes for preparing this polyester are also described.
