Sealed vacuum double glazing and method for making

A method of producing a vacuum between two glass sheets to form an insulating glazing. One of the sheets has a hole drilled in its thickness. Spacers are placed between the two glass sheets with the sealing joint being placed around the periphery of the sheets. A vacuum is created between the sheets through the hole which is then closed. The spacers are fixed on one of the sheets by bonding with a mineral compound covering at least the bonding zones on the glass sheet. The second sheet is placed on the spacers and on the peripheral sealing joint. The peripheral sealing and the bonding with the spacers are simultaneously effected by raising the temperature.

A glazed element having a high insulating ability is composed of at least two glass sheets, between which a vacuum has been created, separated from each other by mounts distributed over their entire surface. The sheets are joined together around their periphery by an inorganic seal. The glazed element has at least one hole scaled in a vacuum-tight manner around its periphery with the aid of an inorganic seal.

A door or wall of an environmental chamber and in particular a glazed door or wall includes an insulating panel. The insulating panel includes at least two glass substrates between which a vacuum has been created. The at least two glass substrates being separated from each other by mounts distributed over the entire surface of the at least two glass substrates. The at least two glass substrates joined together around their periphery by an inorganic seal.

Wall or door of an environmental chamber

An insulating glazed element composed of at least two glass sheets separated from each other by a small space in which a vacuum has been created is provided with a heating element on an internal face of at least one of the glass sheets. Two current supply collecting lines are positioned on at least part of the internal face of the at least one of said glass sheets. The heating element includes at least one conductive layer deposited on at least part of the internal face of the at least one of the glass sheets. The conductive layer extends between the two current supply collecting lines.

An assembly for mechanically hanging a glazing element to a supporting structure uses an articulated fixing system allowing the plate to tilt about its support point on said system. It includes a cavity defining element engaging the glazing element and a carrying element connectable to the supporting structure and having a portion fittable in a cavity defined by said cavity defining element so as to form an articulated connection with said cavity defining element. The articulated connection has a bearing region and supports the glazing element for turning with a pendular motion about the bearing region. This makes possible a bending movement of controlled amplitude of the glazing element.

In order to form a bead of organic material having a butyl rubber base and a viscosity greater than 35000 poises, the material in a drum is heated and pumped by a reciprocating pump and delivered to an output nozzle via a conduit. A lock chamber in the conduit is delimited by valves. A variable volume chamber connected to the lock chamber or upstream of the lock chamber is able to selectively take in or discharge organic material for maintaining a constant pressure at the nozzle.
