The present application relates to resolvin analogs having anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, uses and methods using the same. More specifically, the present application relates to compounds of formula (I) or an enantiomer, isomer, salt or solvate thereof.

Resolvin analogs compounds, methods and uses thereof

Estrane-based and androstane-based aminosteroid derivatives are described herein. More specifically, the following piperazinyl-steroid compounds of Formula I, Formula II, Formula III, and Formula IV are described. The compounds display cytotoxicity on a variety of cancer cell lines. A process for producing the compounds and their use in the manufacture of pharmaceutical formulations and/or combinations is also disclosed. 

Aminosteroid derivatives and process for producing same

The present application discloses 17&#x3b2; hydroxy steroid dehydrogenase (17&#x3b2; HSD) type 1, 3, 10 inhibitors and use thereof (alone and in combination) in the treatment of cancer and other afflictions. 17&#x3b2; HSD1 inhibitors include estradiol derivatives with a nieta-carbamoylbenzyl substituent at C 16. 17&#x3b2; HSD3/HSD10 inhibitors include androsterone derivatives substituted at the C3 position with a sulfonamide piperazine. Also disclosed are compounds that are inhibitors of both 17&#x3b2; HSD1 and 17&#x3b2; HSD3 that have a spiro-morpholine substituent at C20.

Inhibitors of 17&#x3b2;-HSD1, 17&#x3b2;-HSD3 and 17&#x3b2;-HSD10

Provided are compounds of general formula A and A', wherein Xand Xare each C, CH or N; Rand Rare each H, optionally substituted C-Csaturated or unsaturated chemical group, or together form an optionally substituted C-Ccycle; Z; Zand Zare each N or CH; V is C&#x2550;O, C&#x2550;S or CH; n is from 1 to 12; Wand Ware each H, CH, O or S; and Rand Rare each H, CrCalkyl, CCaryl, CCalkylaryl, optionally substituted phenyl, CCalkoxy, CCthioalkoxy, F, Cl, Br or I. These compounds inhibit steroid sulfatase (STS), act as selective estrogen receptor modulators (SERMs), increase alkaline phosphatase (ALP) activity, and are useful in the treatment of medical conditions involving hormones such as breast cancer, prostate cancer, endometriosis, osteoporosis, benign prostatic hyperplasia and endometrial cancer. 

Substituted 1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline derivatives for the treatment of hormone-dependent diseases

Novel chemical agents are described herein. More specifically, 2-(N-substituted piperazinyl) pregnane and 2-(N-substituted piperazinyl) androstane derivatives exhibiting cytotoxicity on a variety of cancer cell lines are disclosed herein.

2-(N-substituted piperazinyl) steroid derivatives

Compounds having the structure (or their salts): are used to treat or reduce the likelihood of acquiring androgen-dependent diseases, such as prostate cancer, benign prostatic hyperplasia, polycystic ovarian syndrome, acne, hirsutism, seborrhea, androgenic alopecia and male baldness. The compounds can be formulated together with pharmaceutically acceptable diluents or carriers or otherwise made into any pharmaceutical dosage form. Combinations with other active pharmaceutical agents are also disclosed.
