An oral care composition is provided. The composition comprises (a) a first component comprising an amine fluoride; and (b) a second component comprising an acidic polymer; wherein the amine fluoride and acidic polymer have respective first and second reactive groups which are arranged to react together to form a cross-linked copolymer of the amine fluoride and acidic polymer when the composition is applied to an oral cavity.

The present application provides a packaged aqueous oral care composition comprising a container and a composition wherein the composition comprises at least one water-soluble source of Snions and the container comprises an inner surface being at least partially formed from a linear polymer, wherein the linear polymer is a homopolymer or a copolymer of monomers having the structure: wherein Rand Rare the same or different and are independently selected from a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkenyl group, a halogen atom and a nitrile group.

Disclosed herein are processes for oxidising Sndissolved in an aqueous solution to stannic compounds using NOand optionally Oas oxidants, wherein the aqueous solution is kept at a pH in the range of 0 to 7, wherein a salt Sn(X)and the oxidants are used according to the reaction scheme a Sn(X)+b O+c NO&#x2192;stannic compounds in which scheme a, b and c are mole numbers; with the proviso that when b is essentially zero, then the aqueous solution is essentially free of Cl, HSOand SO2.

Processes for the preparation of stannic oxide

An oral care composition comprising a) an aqueous phase; b) stannous ions solvated in the aqueous phase; c) nitrates solvated in the aqueous phase; wherein the total content of said nitrates is such that the molar amount of nitrogen in the aqueous phase, measurable as nitrate, is less than 2 times the molar amount of solvated stannous ions; and d) a flavor substance, which is preferably solvated, dispersed or emulgated in the aqueous phase. Disclosed are also containers containing the composition; and processes and uses for stabilizing stannous ions against oxidation, using nitrates.
