A cooling system for a supercharged internal combustion engine may include a charge air cooling circuit, in which a low-temperature coolant circulates and which may have a low-temperature charge air cooler for cooling charge air and a low-temperature coolant cooler for cooling the low-temperature coolant. The system may include a refrigerant circuit, in which a refrigerant circulates and which has a vaporizer for vaporizing the refrigerant and a condenser for condensing the refrigerant. The system may include a coupling heat exchanger for a fluidically separated, heat-transmitting coupling of the charge air cooling circuit with the refrigerant circuit. The coupling heat exchanger may be arranged in a vaporizer bypass of the refrigerant circuit thereby bypassing the vaporizer and be arranged in a coupling branch of the charge air cooling circuit. The coupling branch may branch off via a branching-off point from a feed of the charge air cooling circuit.

Cooling system and associated operating method

The present invention relates to an actuation device () for shifting an actuation member () between two end positions, in particular for controlling a gas flow in an internal combustion engine, with an armature () which is mounted in a stator () such that it can move between two end positions in a pivoting manner about a pivot axis () and which is connected or can be connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the actuation member (), with at least one electromagnet (), which is arranged on or in the stator (), for generating electromagnetic attractive forces, with at least one first stator-side bearing face (), against which a first contact face () of the armature () bears when the armature () is in the first end position, and with at least one second stator-side bearing face (), against which a second contact face () of the armature () bears when the armature () is in the second end position. Increased reliability can be achieved for the operation of the actuation device () by a sensor system () for measuring at least one parameter of a magnetic field, which is produced by the at least one electromagnet () during operation of the actuation device (), which parameter is dependent on the armature movement and/or armature position.

Actuation device, valve means and operating method

A fresh gas system for a piston engine has a collecting line for supplying fresh air to multiple individual lines. The fresh gas system has the collecting line which is unthrottled and a control unit for actuation of the additional valves is designed so that it subdivides a fresh gas charge of the combustion chamber which depends on the load state into two charging phases (A, B) within an intake time window (T). This is limited by the opening and closing of the intake valve such that it actuates the additional valve to close within the intake time window (T) at a closing point in (TS). This depends on the load state and then actuates it to open at a later opening point in time (TO) that depends on the load state of the piston engine.
