A toric membrane of reinforced rubber, used as a support for the tread of a tubeless tire and forming with the tire P and its mounting rim a rolling assembly, characterized in that, when inflated to a pressure p greater than the pressure p of the cavity of the tire, it has in the inflated state a crown radius R less than the loaded radius R of the tire when used at its recommended pressure, the membrane being reinforced in its crown by a crown reinforcement and a hooping reinforcement composed of circumferentially oriented cords or cables, and in its sidewalls by at least one reinforcement ply, wound around an annular reinforcement element having a breaking load slightly greater than that of the hooping reinforcement.

Supporting membrane for a tread

A toric membrane of reinforced rubber, used as a supporting means for the tread of a tubeless tire, and forming with said tire and its mounting rim a traveling assembly, characterized in that, inflated to a pressure po greater than the pressure p,of the cavity of the tire, it has, in the inflated state, a crown radius R,less than the loaded radius R,of the tire used at its recommended pressure, said membrane being reinforced, at least in its crown, by a crown reinforcement and a hooping reinforcement, composed of cords or cables oriented circumferentially.

Supporting membrane for tire tread

A device for supporting the tread of a tire which includes a rigid support 1) and an elastic top cap rubber (2) made of a vulcanized rubber compound, a lubricant (5) arranged between said support (1) and said top cap rubber (2) allowing circumferential displacement between the support (1) and the top cap rubber (2), wherein each shoulder (122) of the bearing ring (12) of the support (1) is equipped on its edge with at least one straight circumferential groove (124) in which there is housed the corresponding circumferential rib (25) of the radially internal face (200) of the top cap rubber (2), said rib (25) being in contact with the bottom of the groove (124) of the support (1).

Device for supporting a tread

Prevulcanized tread strip (1, 10) including a cap (2) and two side wings 20, 30), such that each lateral end of said wings (3, 20, 30) ends in a bead (4, 21, 31) made of elastomeric material with a substantial thickness in the region intended for connection to a tire carcass.
