A dispenser for receiving and dispensing volumes of fluid, on which a piston/cylinder unit having a piston and a cylinder, can be fitted in a releasable manner by means of a movement running at least substantially in an axial direction of the dispenser. The dispenser has a piston actuator for moving the piston relative to the cylinder. The piston actuator is arranged in a movable manner in the dispenser and is driven by means of a drive. The dispenser has a locking element which is arranged in a movable manner in the dispenser and is driven by a further drive. Also disclosed is a system for receiving and dispensing volumes of fluid, to a method for fitting a piston/cylinder unit in a releasable manner on a dispenser, and to a method for releasing a piston/cylinder unit which has been fitted on a dispenser.

A method for detecting the type of an exchangeable piston-cylinder unit for a dispenser, to a piston-cylinder unit having at least one radially oriented information carrier section, and at least one axially oriented information carrier section, both of which at least partially specifies the type of piston-cylinder unit, and to a dispenser having an acquisition device for automatically identifying the type of piston-cylinder unit arranged on the dispenser. The method has at least the following steps: a) detachably mounting the piston-cylinder unit on the dispenser by at least an axial movement; b) detecting completion of a successful mounting of the piston-cylinder unit on the dispenser with a sensor device; c) detecting an information of the axially oriented information carrier section; d) detecting an information of the radially oriented information carrier section; and e) determining the type of the piston-cylinder unit mounted on the dispenser from the detected information.

Method for detecting the type of an exchangeable piston-cylinder unit for a dispenser

A pipette for a pipette system comprising a pipette and a syringe. The pipette housing has a longitudinal axis. A syringe to be handled with the pipette is insertable with its fastening portion and plunger head into the pipette housing and is removable or discardable from said pipette housing in the direction of the longitudinal axis of the pipette housing, i.e., axially. The syringe has as cylinder and a plunger with a plunger head which projects out of the end of the cylinder even when the plunger has been completely inserted into the cylinder. A pipette housing comprises an axially accessible plunger gripping device for the plunger head of the syringe. An actuating device for the plunger gripping device is mounted on the plunger displacing device and is axially displaceable with said adjusting device.

Pipette for a pipette system having pipette and syringe

A pipette has a preferably thermoplastic pipette shaft, for slipping on a likewise preferably thermoplastic pipette tip, has a slip-on section which opens at least slightly conically, and an attachment section which is formed on the lower end of the pipette shaft and onto which the slip-on section of the pipette tip is slipped. A sealing section which is made of an elastically-flexible plastic material which seals well with low withdrawal forces is provided on the attachment section. Furthermore, preferably, a fixing section is formed on the plastic material of the attachment section of the pipette shaft at a location that is axially offset relative to the sealing section. The sealing section of elastic-flexible plastic material is molded directly, retentively, on the preferably thermoplastic material of the pipette shaft.

Pipette and process for producing a pipette

A pipette for the handling of a syringe. The pipette has jaw chucks which are adjustably arranged with respect to the plunger receptacle, being pivotably mounted on a plunger-gripping device. The syringe is insertable with opened jaw chucks with the plunger head only partially contacting the jaw chucks. The jaw chucks are laterally engageable on the plunger head upon insertion of the syringe. The engaging movement of the jaw chucks on the plunger head is regulated according to the invention so that the engaging movement has a substantially tangential component with respect to the surface of the plunger head. As a result, a desired and form-locking connection to the plunger head of the syringe results that requires a small amount of force.

Pipette for a pipette system

The bottle top dispenser has a piston-cylinder unit, the piston (12) and cylinder (10) of which can be activated in an axial stroke movement relative to one another, in order to draw liquid from a bottle on which the dispenser is set, and dispense it. The maximum axial elongation of the piston (12) and cylinder (10) relative to one another is adjusted with a limiter. The dispenser has a volume display proportional to the limiter setting. The dispenser can be adjusted, by setting it, in a condition where the limiter and the volume display are independent of one another, in order to bring the displayed volume and the volume actually dispensed into agreement.
