An organic electronic component includes a substrate and a first electrode arranged on the substrate, and at least one organic functional layer arranged on the first electrode. The organic functional layer includes a matrix material into which a p-dopant has been introduced and a second electrode arranged on the organic functional layer. The p-dopant includes a copper complex having at least two ligands. Each ligand has a benzene unit with six carbon atoms. With respect to each ligand, an iminium group is linked directly as a substituent to one of the six carbon atoms of the benzene unit, and an oxygen is bound as a substituent to an adjacent carbon atom of the benzene unit, with the oxygen and the benzene unit together forming an aryloxy group. The ligands are coordinated to the copper cation, so that the copper complex has a trans-structure. The organic functional layer is hole-conducting.

The present disclosure relates to generating energy. The teachings thereof may be embodied in methods for burning a reaction gas with an electropositive metal. An method for generating energy may include: supplying a reaction gas and an electropositive metal separately to at least one nozzle; wherein the electropositive metal is selected from alkali metals, alkaline earth metals, aluminum, zinc, mixtures, and/or alloys thereof; burning the reaction gas with the electropositive metal; and coverting the reaction gas before or during burning at least temporarily into a plasma.

An organic electronic component includes an organic functional layer having a p-dopant. The p-dopant includes a copper complex having at least one ligand containing an aryloxy group and an iminium group. Additionally specified are the use of a copper complex as a p-dopant and a process for producing a p-dopant.

An organic semiconductor component with a hole conductor layer having p-type doping with a superacid salt has greatly improved charged transport and optical properties. Besides increasing the specific conductivity at very low doping concentrations, the doping brings about substantially no negative change in the color impression of the layer for the human eye. The absorbtivity of the hole conductor layer is not increased in the visible wavelength range as a result of the p-type doping with the superacid salt. Deposition from solution and from the gas phase is possible.
