We present a system and method for analysis of image and data of ultrasound and ultrasound with contrast medium of human pancreatic tissues to automatically diagnose acute pancreatitis of the pancreas and identify pancreatic non-viable tissues at an early stage. The system consists of a diagnostic ultrasound system with specialized software for contrast studies (ultrasound) for in vivo ultrasound examinations of human internal organs, recording reflected ultrasound signals from pancreatic tissues (without contrast material and when contrast material is injected) and an image and data processing algorithm with artificial intelligence (neural network) elements providing a diagnostic estimate of a recommendatory nature.

System for visual data analysis of ultrasound examinations with and without a contrast medium, for early automated diagnostics of pancreatic pathologies

Disclosed is a system and a method to analyze spectrophotometry and ultrasound images and data in a complex way to diagnose malignant skin tumors in early stages. The system consists of a high-frequency portable ultrasonic imaging device for in vivo skin examinations, an optical spectrophotometer with light sources of different wavelengths for skin chromophore registration, and a complex data processing algorithm providing an advisory diagnostic evaluation. This enables automatically aggregating data and quantitative estimates obtained by different imaging techniques for melanocyte-derived skin tumors, facilitating the decision support for acceptance of the final clinical diagnosis and treatment planning. The system allows simultaneous analysis of images recorded by devices with different physical principles, automatic separation of the tumor area and evaluation the depth of the tumor penetration into the superficial tissue, which is essential for the selection of further testing and treatment tactics, and the planning of surgical removal procedures.

Complex analysis system of spectrophotometry and ultrasound images and data for automatic early-stage diagnosing of malignant skin tumors

A method and apparatus for continuously measuring the absolute intracranial pressure in a non-invasive manner is described by using an ultrasonic Doppler device which detects the pulsatility indexes of the blood flow inside the eye artery for both intracranial and extracranial eye artery portions. The eye in which the blood flow is monitored is subjected to a small pressure, sufficient to equalize the pulsatility index measurements of the internal and external portions of the eye artery. The pressure at which such equalization occurs is used as a reference for autocalibration of the apparatus so that continuous absolute intracranial pressure measurements may be taken over a particular sampling period.

Method and apparatus for continuously monitoring intracranial pressure

A method and apparatus for obtaining the absolute value of intracranial pressure in a non-invasive manner is described by using an ultrasonic Doppler measuring device which detects the intracranial and extracranial blood flow velocities of the intracranial and extracranial segments of the ophthalmic artery. The eye in which the blood flow is monitored is subjected to an external pressure, sufficient to equalize the intracranial and extracranial angle-independent blood flow factors calculated from the intracranial velocity signal and extracranial velocity signal. The absolute value of the intracranial pressure is identified as that external pressure at which such equalization occur

Method and apparatus for determining the absolute value of intracranial pressure

An ultrasonic method for indicating a characteristic of intracranial components' volume changes includes the transmission of broadband ultrasound from a transmitting transducer positioned on one side of a human head to a receiving transducer located on another side of the human head with decomposition of the received signal into narrowband components and determination therefrom of group delay, phase angle and attenuation as a basis for derivation of the characteristic of the intracranial media.
