A refrigerating apparatus comprising a refrigeration cycle comprising at least a compressor, a condenser, a dryer, an expansion mechanism and an evaporator, a refrigerant composed mainly of a fluorocarbon type refrigerant containing no chlorine and having a critical temperature of 40.degree. C. or higher, and a refrigerating machine oil comprising as base oil an ester oil of one or more fatty acids which contains at least two ester linkages ##STR1## in the molecule and has a viscosity at 40.degree. C. of 2 to 70 cSt and a viscosity at 100.degree. C. of 1 to 9 cSt.

A refrigerant compressor using a refrigerant composed mainly of a fluorocarbon and/or hydrofluorocarbon type refrigerant containing no chlorine and having a critical temperature of 40.degree. C. or higher, and a refrigerating machine oil comprising as base oil an ester oil of one or more fatty acids which contains at least two ester linkages ##STR1## in the molecule and has a viscosity at 40.degree. A rigid polyurethane foam obtained by foaming a special polyol component and an isocyanate component in the presence of a blowing agent comprising water and at least one member selected from the group consisting of 1,1-dichloro-2,2,2-trifluoroethane and 2,2-dichloro-2-monofluoroethane possesses balanced excellent properties, has no surface void, and shows only slight expansion after molding. Therefore, it can be effectively used as a heat insulator, in particular, a heat insulator for refrigerators.

Rigid polyurethane foams produced by reacting a polyol component having a special composition with an isocyanate component in the presence of a blowing agent, a reaction catalyst and a foam stabilizer with a mold release time of as short as 5.5 minutes or less, have remarkably low thermal conductivity of 12.5.times.10.sup.-3 Kcal/m.hr..degree.C. or less and a low density and are suitable as heat insulating materials for refrigerators and the like.

Integral skin polymethane foams can be produced in a short time by impingement mixing a solution comprising polyols containing as an essential component a polyol derived from aromatic amine, a blowing agent and a special catalyst of tertiary amine salt having a hetero ring in the molecule, with a solution comprising one or more polyisocyanates, followed by injection into a closed mold and foaming and curing therein.

Process for producing integral skin polyurethane foam

A process for producing a rigid polyurethane foam according to one-shot method which comprises reacting a polyol component with a polyfunctional isocyanate component in the presence of a polymerization catalyst, a foam stabilizer and a foaming agent, characterized in that said polyol component consists of 35 to 65 parts by weight of a sucrose polyether and 65 to 35 parts by weight of a polyoxyalkylene glycol of trihydroxyalkylamine and has an OH number of 420 to 530. According to this process, a rigid polyurethane foam having a very low density, low friability and excellent dimensional stability at low temperatures can be obtained.
