The present invention describes an electrical energy storage cell with a bridging device. The energy storage cell has an at least partially electrically conductive housing (), at least two terminals () on the housing (), of which a first terminal () is insulated from the housing () and a second terminal () is electrically conductively connected to the housing (), and a bridging device, which can be actuated by an external signal to connect the two terminals () of the energy storage cell electrically to each other. The energy storage cell is characterised in that the bridging device acts between the first terminal () and the housing () of the energy storage cell. A robust construction which is inexpensive to assemble can be implemented as a result.

Electrical energy storage cell with integrated bridging device

An electrical bypass device has two electrical conductors electrically insulated from one another and arranged such that two surface regions of the conductors are spaced apart from one another by a gap. Above the surface regions is a bypass element having at least one electrically conductive layer in the form of or connected to a mechanical energy store. The mechanical energy store is transferable by thermal triggering from a first mechanical state to a stable second mechanical state in which the electrically conductive layer of the bypass element makes electrical contact with the surface regions and shorts the two electrical conductors. Above the surface regions is a reactive element where an exothermic reaction can be triggered, resulting in the mechanical energy store transferring to the stable second mechanical state.

Electrical bypass device for bypassing an electrical energy source or an energy consumer

The present invention relates to an electrical bridging device comprising two electrical conductors which are electrically isolated from each other and arranged such that two surface regions of both conductors are separated from each other by a gap. The two surface regions are each covered with a layer composed of an electrically conductive material which has a lower melting point than the electrodes. A reactive layer in which an exothermic reaction can be triggered is arranged above the two layers. The gap between the two surface regions is selected and the reactive layer is dimensioned and arranged such that the two layers which are composed of the electrically conductive material fuse at the gap due to the thermal energy which is emitted during the exothermic reaction of the reactive layer and consequently an electrical connection is created between the electrical conductors.

Electrical bridging device for bridging electrical components, in particular an energy source or an energy consumer

A semiconductor substrate has a first doping region arranged at a surface and a second doping region adjacent to the first doping region. A p-n junction between the doping regions is at least partially arranged less than 5 &#x3bc;m away from a contact area of the first doping region arranged at the substrate surface. A first contact structure is in contact with the first doping region in the contact area of the first doping region and has at least partially an electrically conductive material provided for a diffusion into the semiconductor substrate. The first contact structure is configured so that the conductive material provided for a diffusion into the substrate diffuses at least partially through the first doping region into the second doping region in case predefined trigger conditions occur. A second contact structure is in contact with the second doping region in a contact area of the second doping region.

Device and method for bridging an electrical energy storage

The apparatus allows monitoring layer depositions in a process chamber. The apparatus has a light source, a sensor element, and at least one light detector. The sensor element is suitably configured in order to influence the intensity of the light beam measured by the detector by the thickness of the layer growing on the sensor element. The novel monitoring method for measuring the transmitted light intensity utilizes the apparatus. The sensor element has a continuous opening through which the intensity of the light is observed as a function of the opening grown over by the thickness of the growing layer.

Apparatus for monitoring intentional or unavoidable layer depositions and method

The present invention is to a method for measuring the thickness of a layer on an object during a layer-depositing process, and a device by which the method can be realized. In the method, a diffraction object having at least two opposing diffracting limits at a known spacing, is positioned in such a way that a layer is deposited or absorbed at the diffracting limits of the diffraction object, whose thickness of layer has a known relationship with the thickness of the layer on the object. The diffracting limits of the diffraction object are projected by a coherent light pencil on a detection surface. The local intensity distribution, which is induced by diffraction on the detection surface, is detected and computed from the intensity distribution of the thickness of the layer. The method permits the detection of the thickness of thin layers during the layer-depositing process independently of the parameters of the material and with a high precision.
