A probe head includes a housing having a first housing unit to be affixed on a machine, and a second housing unit on which a stylus is supported so as to be deflectable. The second housing unit is movably supported on the first housing unit so as to allow a deflection. The probe head furthermore has a switching unit, which includes a first contact element and a second contact element, the contact elements being arranged such that when the second housing unit is deflected relative to the first housing unit, the contact elements are able to be brought into mutual contact at different points as a function of the direction of deflection, whereby an electrical switching signal is able to be triggered by this contact.

Probe head

A probe head includes a stationary component and pressure-sensitive sensors, the sensors being stationary relative to the fixed component, and a deflectable probe element. The probe element has a longitudinal axis, a first contact point and a second contact point. Because of contact of the probe element, pressure forces are able to be introduced into the sensors via the first contact point. In response to a further deflection of the probe element, the latter is able to be transferred to a stop position, in which the second contact point of the probe element touches the stationary component in a supporting manner. The probe element is arranged such that the pressure forces that are able to be introduced into the sensors in the stop position are limited, a first distance between the first contact point and the longitudinal axis being shorter than a second distance between the second contact point and the longitudinal axis.

A probe head includes a feeler, a sensor unit, a CPU, a transmitting stage and a producer of electrical energy for supplying energy to the sensor unit, to the CPU and to the transmitting stage. An electrical signal is triggerable by the sensor unit in response to a deflection of the feeler which is convertible in the transmitting stage into an electromagnetic signal. The producer of electrical energy includes a turbine having rotor disk rotatable about an axis. Magnets are mounted on the rotor disk of the turbine, which are arranged across from stationary electrically conductive windings at an axial distance. The probe head includes a voltage transformer, at the output of which an output voltage is producible, which is greater than the input voltage applied to the voltage transformer, the output voltage being used to supply energy to the transmitting stage.

A probe head includes sensors having, in each instance, a pressure-sensitive surface, electrical signal being producible by the sensors when pressure forces are acting. Furthermore, the probe head has mechanical transmission elements and a holding element for positioning the transmission elements with respect to the sensors. The holding element is fixed in a stationary manner relative to the sensors and is configured such that the transmission elements are movable relative to the sensors in a direction having a directional component orthogonal to the surface. Furthermore, the probe head includes a probe element, which is deflectable relative to the sensors. The probe element, the sensors and the transmission elements are arranged in a mechanical operative connection such that by contacting the probe element, a change in the level of the electrical signal is producible by at least one of the sensors.

A touch measurement system includes a touch probe for detecting touching of a workpiece by a touch probe stylus and including at least one sender for emitting an infra-red light in response to detection of the touching, and a receiving unit including a housing having a window permeable to an infra-red light and provided with an electro-conductive coating for shielding an interior of the housing from electro-magnetic interferences, and an infra-red light receiver for receiving the infra-red light emitted by the sender of the touch probe, and a unit for processing the infra-red light received by the receiver, with both the receiver and the processing unit being located in the housing interior.

Touch measurement system

A probe head includes a housing and a probe element. The probe element has a longitudinal axis and stop faces and is able to shift from a rest position along the longitudinal axis into a stop position relative to the housing. The probe head further includes counter-support faces, which are arranged in a stationary manner relative to the housing. For limiting the path of the probe element, in a stop position, the stop faces of the probe element contact the counter-support faces at stop points. In the rest position, a geometric plane may be spanned orthogonally with respect to the longitudinal axis of the probe element. The stop points are arranged such that in the stop position, the longitudinal axis intersects the geometric plane at an oblique angle.

A stylus including a stem, and a break-off region provided in the stem and consisting of a changed structure of a stem material, and a method of forming the stylus according to which the change of the structure of a stem material is effected by heat treatment of a region of the stem in which the break-off region is to be provided.

Stylus

A securing device composed of a plurality of components for a measuring apparatus used for determining the positions of two structural members which are movable relative to each other. The measuring apparatus includes a graduation, a carrier member carrying the graduation and a scanning device for scanning the graduation. The scanning device is guided at a constant distance from the graduation. The scanning device is fastened to one of the movable structural members by means of an assembly base. Spacer members are used for maintaining the securing device in an intended position relative to the carrier member. Each component of the securing device is a unit which can be separately attached to the carrier member. The components include interacting elements for connecting the components in a securing position.

Securing device for measuring apparatus

A position measuring device including a scale carrier member and a scanning device for scanning the scale. A temperature difference is generated between the scale carrier member and/or the scanning device, on the one hand, and a housing surrounding the scale carrier member and the scanning device, on the other hand. The temperature difference ensures that condensate is always precipitated on the colder housing.
