In the invention, a joining means having a ram tool, a countertool and a holder with an opening to accommodate the ram tool or the countertool, is described. The two tools are arranged coaxial with each other at different ends of a C-bracket. The holder comprises at least one plane contact surface arranged on the outer surface of the holder, resting in contact with at least one plane face of the corresponding end of the C-bracket and detachably fastened thereto. Between the contact surface and the face, at least one interlay is arranged, determining the information and/or the distance of the contact surface from the face.

Joining means

Method for feeding fasteners to a fastening tool that can be moved by a programmable handling device and on which is mounted a magazine for accommodating at least one fastener. The method comprises: moving the magazine to a filling station, wherein the filling station has an always continuously open tube section with an outlet opening; orienting the magazine with respect to the outlet opening; opening an air seal of the magazine; and conveying at least one fastener to the tube section in such a manner that the fastener travels through the tube section and the outlet opening to reach the magazine.

A joining component, for axial joining to a workpiece, comprises a base body composed of thermoplastic material and including a holding section and a flange section, with a joining surface including both a portion of the flange section and a metal section which can be heated inductively. The metal section is in this case integrated in the flange section.

Fastening arrangement

The invention relates to a method for axial joining of a hybrid joining component to a workpiece, wherein the joining component has a thermoplastic joining section and a metal section which can be heated, having the following steps: moving the joining component into contact with a surface of the workpiece; heating of the metal section such that the joining section at least partially melts; ending the heating of the metal section such that the joining component makes a force-fitting, interlocking and/or integral connection with the surface of the workpiece. In this case, the joining component is held with a regulated force and/or in a regulated position with respect to the workpiece at least during the heating of the metal section, in such a manner that the joining component can be joined to the surface of the workpiece without any opposing support.

Joining method

A contact-making unit including a holding unit and a screw with a head and a shank. The holding unit includes a connection part-holding section into which at least one connection part can be inserted, and a screw-holding section into which the screw is inserted in a longitudinal direction of the holding unit in such a way that the screw is held captively in the screw-holding section in the longitudinal direction but in a rotatable fashion, and in that a connection part which is inserted into the connection part-holding section can make electrical contact with the inserted screw. A radially protruding bearing section is formed on the head of the screw, and the screw-holding section has a shoulder section which axially supports the bearing section on the holding unit.
