The invention relates to a transmission and reception unit for the detection of a rotary angle, having a light transmitter for the transmission of transmitted light to a dimensional scale and having a light receiver which lies on a support, the light receiver having a front side for the reception of reception light influenced by a dimensional scale disposed opposite the front side and having a rear side which is supported on a support transparent for the transmitted light. In order to provide a new assembly concept for the positioning of the light source and of the receiver and in particular to provide an arrangement which is as symmetrical as possible it is suggested that the transparent support is arranged between the light receiver and the light transmitter and that a light deflection apparatus is provided for the deflection of the transmitted light.

Information carrier

A rotary encoder is clamped coaxially with its pickup shaft () on a drive shaft () which is to be measured. Two collet chucks are provided for this purpose. The one collet chuck is constructed as a clamping sleeve, which penetrates the pickup shaft () axially and has clamping jaws () on its free end. The other collet chuck is constructed as a clamping ring, which engages the pickup shaft () with clamping jaws (). The two collet chucks are clamped axially against each other and against the pickup shaft () by a force element ().

Rotary encoder

An optoelectronic angle measuring instrument, and method for its production, which optoelectronically detects the angle of rotation of an input shaft by means of a dimensional standard connected to the shaft. Light from a light source is parallel-collimated by a collimator lens, modulated by the dimensional standard, and detected by a sensor receiver. The light transmitter, the collimator lens, the dimensional standard and the sensor receiver are arranged concentrically, so that the axis of rotation substantially coincides with the optical axis. At least an end portion of the shaft, as the mechanical component, and the refractive collimator lens, as the optical component of the angle measuring instrument, are made from a single plastic part which accommodates the light source and additional electronic components.

Optoelectronic angle measuring instrument and method for its production

The invention concerns a rotational angle measuring arrangement for measuring angle dependent units of an encoding shaft which is journaled in a transducer housing. A stator coupling non-rotationally connects the transducer housing to the housing of a drive system that is to be measured, and the encoding shaft and a drive shaft of the drive system are non-rotatably secured to each other. To provide an improved angle measuring system when the stator coupling is positioned between the transducer housing and the drive housing, to prevent angle measurement errors and to facilitate the mounting of the transducer, at least one locking mechanism is provided. When the transducer, including the stator coupling, is detached from the drive housing, the locking mechanism causes the stator coupling to non-rotatably lock the encoding shaft to the transducer housing, and when the stator coupling is secured to the drive system, the locking mechanism permits the encoder shaft to freely rotate.
