A nozzle foil (), for a nozzle bar () of a textile processing machine, having a plurality of nozzle openings () arranged in one or more rows () in a longitudinal direction L. The nozzle foil () consists of at least two adjacent foil segments () that can be mechanically connected with each other in a form-fitting manner. With the connection established, the upper sides () and the undersides () of the foil segments () are in a common plane. To accomplish a form-fitting connection, connecting means () provided on one foil segment () interact with opposing connecting means () of the other foil segment (). The connecting means () and the opposing connecting means () are integral components of the respective foil segment () and preferably are manufactured at the same time as the respective foil segment () and consist of the same material as the respective foil segment ().

Nozzle foil for a nozzle bar with connectable foil segments

A nozzle bar () comprising a carrier element () provided with several slit-shaped fluid channels (), each associated with a foil () having a plurality of nozzle openings (). In the position of use, the foil () is arranged over an input orifice () of the associate fluid channel () so that its nozzle openings () are located inside the contour of its associated fluid entry opening (). In this position of use, each foil () is fastened to a plane attachment surface of the carrier element (). The attachment surface may be the bottom () of a groove-like recess () in the carrier element (). A separate recess () is provided for each foil (). The carrier element () can be used for numerous different types of foils. The distance of the nozzle openings () of the foil (), or the size or the form of the nozzle openings () may vary among various foil types, without requiring modifications on the carrier element ().

Adjoining the working section () are a lower shank section () and an upper shank section (), both said shank sections extending coaxially with respect to each other along the longitudinal axis (). Adjoining the upper shank section (), there is provided a needle foot () that has a holding means () extending in a straight line in a transverse direction () transversely to the longitudinal axis (). The diameter (E) of the upper shank section () is both greater than the diameter (D) of the lower shank section () and greater than the mean width of the holding means ().
