A vehicle beam lamp, particularly an additional automobile headlight, comprising a housing, a reflector, a cover plate connected to the reflector, and a frame for fastening the cover plate and reflector to the housing, has the reflector, cover plate, and frame firmly connected to each other to form an insert that closes off the housing. A procedure for mounting a vehicle beam lamp comprising a housing, a reflector, a cover plate, and a frame connecting the reflector and cover plate to the housing involves gluing the reflector, the cover plate, and the frame together into an insert that is separably connected to the housing.

Vehicle beam lamp

A headlight for a vehicle has a pot-shaped housing (1) which is closed at its front side by a light-transmissive shield (2). A reflector (4, 13) is mounted in an interior space formed by the light-transmissive shield and the housing. An opaque shield (5) covers at least a partial area between the light-transmissive shield and the reflector and at least a portion thereof is formed of an outer sidewall portion (6) of the reflector-receiving housing which is inwardly-drawn to extend toward an interior of the headlight.

Headlight for motor vehicle

An apparatus for mounting a bulb in a reflector opening of a headlight includes tongues which are cut-out and bent-out of a portion of the reflector from which an opening is formed through which a bulb to be mounted thereat is inserted. These tongues engage notches in an edge of a base flange of the bulb in a radial direction to prevent rotation thereof. A holding spring which spans over the flange of the bulb base lies under tension against the flange and urges it against an opening frame of the reflector. The holding spring is attached to the reflector at cut outs in edges of the mounting tongues on opposite sides of the opening. Spring tongues from a middle portion of the holding spring impinge on the bulb base flange.
