The invention relates to a process and an apparatus for the preparation of a crosslinkable rubber mixture for vehicle tires, lines, drive belts and other industrial rubber articles, which can be carried out at least semicontinuously. The present invention is based on the discovery that the experiments known from the prior art to carry out the batchwise process usually used at least partly continuously have failed in particular because of the problem that the crosslinking agents have to be mixed rapidly and homogeneously with the base mixture, also referred to as rubber base mixture, without the mixture consisting of the base mixture and the crosslinking agents heating up too strongly. According to the invention, attention was therefore focussed on reliably mixing the base mixture homogeneously with the crosslinking agents and minimizing the mixing time. A first measure for achieving the desired aim consists in first mixing the crosslinking agents with one another before they are mixed with the base mixture. The mixture of crosslinking agents is in particular first packed in a container which is used for feeding the crosslinking agents into a base mixture.

Process and apparatus for the preparation of crosslinkable rubber mixtures

An extruder for viscous masses, and including an extruder screw and a positive-displacement gear pump disposed downstream of the extruder screw as viewed in the conveying direction. The positive-displacement gear pump has at least one conveying gear and at least one positive-displacement gear. The axis of the conveying gear is disposed essentially at right angles to the axis of the extruder screw, and the axis of the positive-displacement gear is disposed essentially in the same direction as the axis of the extruder screw.

The invention relates to a gear pump which is suitable for delivering highly viscous materials. The aim of the invention is to provide a gear pump having a low-wear and low-maintenance bearing system, high output and good self-cleaning properties. For this purpose, the gear pump according to the invention comprises a housing, a gear section comprising a sun wheel and a plurality of stationarily mounted planet wheels, an input screw section comprising an input screw shaft linked with the sun wheel in a rotationally fixed manner and an input transfermix area, and an output screw section comprising an output screw shaft linked with the sun wheel in a rotationally fixed manner and an output transfermix area. The screw shafts, in the transfermix areas, have flight depths that decrease toward the gear section. In the housing, flights are configured which extend in an opposite direction relative to the screw shafts, which have increasing diameters towards the gear section and which end each between the planet wheels.

A conveying apparatus comprising an extruder having a housing, a gear pump connected to the extruder, an extruder cylinder rotatably mounted in the housing, and a plurality of pins extending radially outwardly from the extruder cylinder. The extruder housing is provided with helical conveyor paths and openings for the pins.

A pin extruder for conveying polymeric material, especially elastomeric material, comprising a stationary extruder housing and an extruder screw rotatably mounted in the housing. A purality of radially outwardly extending pins are disposed on the extruder screw, at least a portion of which is embodied as a cylinder. The extruder housing, adjacent to the cylinder portion of the extruder screw, is provided with essentially helical conveyor paths and with openings for the pins.

A screw extruder and gear pump arrangement for highly viscous media includes a screw shaft and a gear pump operatively coupled to the screw shaft. A planet carrier is operatively engaged with at least one rotatably mounted planet gear, a first functional element that is cooperatively engaged with planet gear as a sun wheel, and a second functional element that is cooperatively engaged with the planet gear as an outer ring. One of the first functional element or the second functional element includes gear teeth for meshing with the planet gear and the other includes a sealing region for bearing in a sliding and sealing manner over part of the circumference and length of the planet gear. A pump casing surrounds the planet carrier.
