A housing lining for a piston engine, drive motor, or machine composed of a sound-absorbent layer of fibers. The fibers are compressed and glued to form an essentially pore-free supporting frame at least in the vicinity of the edge of the layer.

Housing Lining

A noise damper comprising a molded part of polymer material having at least two chambers which are designed as resonators with resonant frequencies that differ from one another. The molded part consists of a closed-cell material. The resonators are formed of essentially cup-shaped protrusions that open toward the sound source, the molded part on the side facing the sound source being covered by an orifice plate comprising at least two openings leading into each chamber. The molded part and the orifice plate are detachably joined together.

Noise damper

A hollow floor composed of a profiled false floor (1) which is arranged between a top floor (2) and a sub floor (3) and is designed to be plate-shaped, the false floor (1) having cup-shaped depressions (4) that are joined together by essentially flat edge areas (5). The depressions (4) are filled in with a sound-deadening filler material (6).

Hollow floor

An airborne-sound-absorbing shaped component is disclosed. The element comprises at least two chambers that are arranged adjacent to one another in the direction of the vibrations that are to be introduced into the system. These chambers help delimit a shared cavity that is hermetically sealed with respect to the environment which also operates as a pneumatic spring. Each of the chambers is delimited by a delimiting wall made of a polymer material, the delimiting walls being configured integrally and continuously with one another and joined to one another in a transition region, in a manner allowing relative movement by at least one spring element that is resilient in the direction of the introduced vibrations.

Sound-attenuator

Free-standing sound absorber consisting of an open-cell foam body designed in the manner of a board, having at least one opening in a lateral face for plugging together another, similarly designed foam body. The opening has a height corresponding approximately to half the height of the foam body. The depth of the opening corresponds to the thickness of the foam body.

Sound absorber

A panel element for insulating acoustically undesirable vibrations is disclosed. The panel element comprises a closed-cell foam element for closing off a hollow body provided with an opening on at least one side. The foam element possesses a mounting structure by which it can be fastened to the hollow body. The foam element is configured to the shape of the opening, and has on its perimeter a mounting structure. The mounting structure consists of a self-contained peripheral groove open in the direction of the boundary. The groove and the boundary can be brought into engagement with one another in a sealing and positive manner.

Vibration-insulating panel element

A wheel lining with a structure made of a polymer, mounted at a distance from wheel, self-supporting, and impermeable to air. The lining is double-walled and incorporates at least two chambers. The walls of the chambers the facing the wheel are provided with at least one opening each to form Helmholtz resonators.

Wheel lining

A housing lining is disclosed with a self-supporting and airborne sound-absorbing layer of fibers. The fibers are compressed and glued together at least in the region of the edge surrounding the layer on the outside, to form an essentially pore-free supporting frame. The supporting frame may be provided with a cup-shaped bulge which comprises sound absorption surfaces which have a sound impedance of 20 to 200 Rayl.

Housing lining

A panel for sound insulation of vehicles or other devices is described which is constructed of a fabric of autogenously and chemically bonded, matted polyester fibers having fine surface pores. The fabric is shaped by compression so that it has a thickness of 1 to 3 mm. and exhibits an acoustical impedance of about 30 to about 100 Rayl.
