A furniture hinge (10) with a door-related hinge member, which is constructed as a hinge pot (18) that can be inserted countersunk in a recess (16) on the inside of the door leaf (12) and is composed of a pot part (20), lying within the recess, and a fastening flange (22), which can be placed upon the region of the inside of the door leaf, adjoining the door leaf recess (16), and can be fastened to the back side of the door leaf (12) by fastening means engaging the material of the door leaf (12) in the specified fastening position of the door leaf (12), the pot part (20), engaging the recess (16), being dimensioned smaller than the recess (16) in the door leaf (12) in such a manner, that, in the unfastened state, it can be shifted in the recess by a specified amount at least at right angles to the border edge of the door leaf (12). The pot part (20) and the fastening flange (22) are separately manufactured components, which in each case have plane connecting sections (30; 36) and can be superimposed on one another, brought into contact with one another and shifted relative to one another. In one of the connecting sections (36; 30), a threaded borehole (38) is provided and, in the associated region of the other connecting section (30; 36), an opening is provided, which is dimensioned larger than the diameter of the threaded borehole (38) at least in one adjusting direction. The shaft of a fastening screw (42), which is passed through the opening and presses the connecting sections (36; 30) together when tightened, is screwed into the threaded borehole (38).

Furniture hinge

A furniture hinge (10) with a carcase-related part (12) which can be fastened adjustably on the carcase of a furniture piece, which is coupled to a door-related part by a linkage mechanism, and which is configured as a hinge cup (14) of metal. The cup part (18) of the hinge cup (14) can be mounted sunken in a mortise in the door and has a flange (20) lying on the inside of the door and projecting from the edge of the cup part. From the bottom of the flange protrude at least one, and preferably two, studs (32) provided with a number of anchoring ribs of pointed cross section, which can be mounted in associated, separate holes in the door. The stud (32) or studs are made expandable by a screw (30) in the manner of an expansion plug and are premounted on the flange by means of the screw being driven in only partially. Each stud is made as an integral injection-molded plastic piece having a plug portion (32a) and an enlarged back plate (32b) on the flange end of the plug portion, and further has at least one spacer element formed of at least one resiliently retroflexible spring arm section (42) integrally formed in the marginal area of the back plate (32b) of the stud.

A cabinet-wall member of a cabinet hinge in the form of an elongate arm which is stamped from initially flat sheet metal and shaped so that a flange is bent at a substantially right angle from each of its longitudinal edges such that the arm has an inverted channel-shaped cross section over most of its length. The flanges are additionally stiffened over at least a portion of their length--e.g., by embossing at least one bead running lengthwise of the arm.

Corner cabinet hinge

A furniture hinge (10) for hanging a door (12) on a cabinet carcase, whose door-related member (18) is configured as a hinge cup which can be set into a mortise (16) in the inside of the door (12), the hinge cup being composed of the actual cup part (20) lying within the mortise and a mounting flange (22) which can be placed on the area of the inside of the door adjoining the door mortise. In the mounting flange at least one slot (24) running at right angles to the adjacent edge of the door is provided for a mounting screw which can be driven into the door. The cup part (20) engaging in the mortise (16) is undersized with respect to the door mortise such that, when the mounting screw is loosened it can be shifted in the mortise by a given amount at right angles to the door edge. In the cup part (20) at least one spring (32) thrusting against the wall of the mortise (16) is provided, which urges the cup part (20) to a defined initial position within the mortise (16) when the mounting screw or screws (26) are loosened.

Single-joint hinge (10) for the pivotable attachment of a door element (12), which comes to rest against a cabinet body, with a hinge (16), which is visible in the closed position of the door element and the door element contact part (20) of which has a press-in pot (38), which can be inserted into a recess (36) machined in the edge region in the back of the door element (12), breaking through to the adjacent edge border of the door element, and in which an offset joint component (sliding piece 44), which can be inserted from the edge border parallel to the flat sides of the door element, is attached and which carries the part of the hinge that is assigned to the door element, in the form of a bearing link (54) accommodating the hinge pin, at the end of a projection (52) that is bent at right angles and is extended to the outside of the door element (12). The body contact piece (18) of which single-joint hinge is constructed as an extended supporting arm (22) attached to the body supporting wall (14) assigned to it, the front edge of which supporting arm (22), facing the door element, has a section, which is bent at right angles and is taken to the leading edge of the body wall (14), and two supporting legs (30), which project from there, accommodate between themselves the right-angled projection (52) carrying the hinge assigned to the door element (12) and in the free ends of which the bearing links (12) for the hinge pin are constructed. By arranging a pre-formed bent spring (58), constructed as a leaf spring, in a depression (56) of the right-angled segment (28) of the body contact part and a sliding lug (60) at the area of the offset hinge component (44) which lies opposite the door element contact part (20), a locking device which keeps the door element (12) in the closed position is formed.

Single-joint furniture hinge

The invention relates to a hinge housing in the form of a cup which can be sunk in a mortise in the back of the door of a piece of furniture and which has a cup portion made of metal from whose upper margin a mounting flange projects integrally in the position properly mounted on a door and overlaps areas of the inside of the door adjoining the mortise in the door, and whose margin is curved toward the inside of the door, so that in the mounting flange there is formed a shallow recess open on the inside of the door, and having a socket plate of plastic disposed between the mounting flange and the inside of the door, which can be releasably joined to the mounting flange and the door.

A crosslink hinge for hanging a door on a cabinet has two crosslink arms attached in the middle in a scissors-like manner. One end of one of the crosslink arms is coupled directly to the cabinet-related part of the hinge, which can be fastened on a mounting plate to the cabinet, and one end of the other crosslink arm is coupled directly to the door-related part which is a cup which can be set in a mortise in the door, and at the other end they are coupled indirectly each by a link to the other part of the hinge. The crosslink arm that is directly pivoted at one end on the door-related hinge part is formed by two flanges disposed parallel to one another at a distance apart and joined together at least section-wise by a web to form a channel shape. The hinge furthermore contains a closing mechanism urging it resiliently into the closed position. The closing mechanism has a movable thruster which is situated in the end portion of the crosslink arm, between the flanges and underneath the web thereof, and is resiliently biased toward the fulcrum point of the link coupling the crosslink arm to the cabinet wall-related hinge part. The thrusting surface of this thruster is in contact with a cam surface of a cam element formed on the link in the area where the link is pivoted on the crosslink arm. The cam surface is of such a shape in connection with the contacting surface of the thruster that a torque acting on the link in the closing direction is produced only as it nears the closed position of the hinge.

Crosslink hinge with closing mechanism

Self-closing hinge for hanging the free leaf of a two-leaf corner cabinet door on the leaf that is hung on the carcase of the cabinet. The hinge has two members, one associated with each of the door leaves, which can turn by about 90.degree. on hinge pins passing through aligned bores provided in the area of the meeting edges of the door leaves, from the position at approximately right angles to one another when the corner cabinet is closed to a position in which they are aligned substantially parallel to one another when the corner cabinet is open. The hinge members are coupled together by an elongated, strap-like connecting element which is pivotally fastened to the one member and is mounted so as to be longitudinally displaceable on the other member. This strap-like connecting element acts on the one hand as a door stop which prevents the door leaves from turning relative to one another beyond a given angle, and on the other hand it forms part of a self-closing mechanism acting when the door is closed.

Self-closing hinge for corner cabinets

Fitting for holding the front-drawer end of the runner of a drawer slide. The fitting has a runner holding clip which can be fastened behind the drawer front under the bottom of the corner of the drawer and grips the end of the runner between two resilient legs. The runner holding clip is made integral with a corner body which in turn is integral with a mounting arm which can be fastened to the inside face of the drawer front. The area where the runner clip joins the corner body, and the area where the corner body joins the mounting arm, are made so as to be resiliently deformable, and a perpendicular threaded bore is provided in the corner body, through which the threaded shaft of an adjusting screw can be driven whose free end is in contact with the underside of the drawer bottom.

The supporting-wall-related part of the hinge is composed of a bottom piece and a top piece borne on the bottom piece and displaceable relative to the latter, horizontally into and out of the carcass interior. One of the link arms of the crosslink mechanism is directly pivotable on the front end of the top piece, i.e., the doorleaf end thereof, and one end of a lever is articulated on its rearward end portion pointing into the carcass interior while its other end is articulated to the rearward end of the other link arm. On the end of the lever that is articulated to the top piece a gear segment is formed, which meshes through an opening in the top piece with a rack provided on the bottom piece.

Over-center hinge for thin-walled doors of cabinets, especially of bathroom mirrored cabinets, having a shallow, door-related hinge part which is articulately joined to a supporting arm fastenable to the supporting walls of the cabinet, and which can be fastened, preferably by cementing, in a matching recess provided on the inner side of the door. A molded piece (36) is removably fastened to the door-related hinge part (12) and bears a tongue (34) which, upon the hinge's closing movement, extends into the path of an engaging surface (pivot eye 15) provided on the supporting arm (18) and can be displaced resiliently against a spring force by this engaging surface, and on which the engaging surface slips during a part of the closing movement beyond a dead-center position on one side of which the tongue (34) exerts on the supporting arm (18) a force in the hinge-opening direction and on the other side of which it exerts thereon a force acting in the hinge closing direction.

Over-center hinge, especially for mirrored cabinet doors

A hinge for the pivotable linking of a door leaf or lid to the carcass of a furniture piece having a door-related part attachable to the door leaf or lid and a supporting-wall-related part, which parts are pivotingly joined together in the manner of a four-joint hinge by two hinge links pivotingly attached to the door-related part on the one hand to the supporting-wall-related part on the other hand. The outer hinge link farther from the supporting wall is linked on the supporting wall side to a pivot piece pivotingly linked to the supporting wall-related part. The pivot piece is coupled operatively to the inner hinge link nearer the supporting wall such that the pivot axis of the outer hinge link on the supporting wall end has in the hinge-open position a minimum distance and the the hinge-closed position a maximum distance from the pivot axis of the inner hinge link at the supporting wall end thereof.

A crosslink over-center hinge having a supporting wall member and a door member which are joined together by a crosslink mechanism formed by two linkage arms coupled pivotingly together in their middle area, the end of one linkage arm being directly journaled on the supporting wall member and one end of the other being directly journaled on the door member, the other end in each case being coupled to the other hinge member for guidance on a curve in space. The hinge having an over-center mechanism is provided with a closing spring, which mechanism resiliently urges the hinge to the hinge end position at least in the vicinity of the closed position. A link connecting the door member to one linkage arm is so formed that its middle area is situated, when the hinge is in the closed position, in the vicinity of the pivot shaft pivotingly coupling the linkage arms, while the over-center mechanism is disposed on or in this link and has an elongated over-center element pivotingly mounted on the pivot shaft of the link in the door member with a locking surface engaging the linkage arm pivot shaft in range of the hinge-closed position. The over-center element is biased by the closing spring supported in the area of the other end of the link towards an engagement of its locking surface with the linkage arm pivot shaft.

Over-center crosslink hinge

A hinge for cabinet doors or lids, especially for period furniture, having two visible sleeve-like hinge parts which can be fastened to the supporting wall of the cabinet and to the cabinet door or lid, respectively, and which are swingable relative to one another about the longitudinal axis of a pintle held in one of the hinge parts and engaging a complementary bore in the other hinge part. The pintle is made in one piece with a mounting pin added at approximately right angles to its end held in the hinge part and fastenable in a bore of the associated cabinet part. The visible, sleeve-like hinge part holding the pintle has on the side facing the associated cabinet part an aperture through which the pivot pin can be passed during assembly and from which the mounting pin protrudes. The pintle and the mounting pin are held in the position correctly aligned with the sleeve-like hinge part by a plug pushed onto the mounting pin and plugging up the aperture in the hinge part.
