A method and a facility produce polylactide (PLA) by polymerization, in which a lactide mixture is mixed with at least one catalyst, is introduced into a modular planetary roller extruder and the finished PLA is then removed. The lactide mixture continuously passes through segments of the extruder. The course of the reaction is measured and controlled in the segments in a targeted manner such that the temperature can be set by heating and/or cooling. The pressure can be variably set depending on pressure values to be checked by a controllable gas extraction and/or a controllable extruder speed and/or static variability of the planetary rollers and/or a variable metering speed of the lactide mixture and/or a variable mixing ratio of the lactide mixture. Flammable gas is removed in an explosion-protected zone in a partial region of the extruder. Additives are introduced into the extruder during the rolling process.

Method and facility for producing polylactide (PLA) from a lactide mixture by means of polymerization

The tensioning device also includes a tensioning shoe formed of a polymer plastic and mounted on the attachment shaft via a support hole, and a disk-shaped metallic support element which is fixed to the attachment shaft via its support hole. The invention relates to a method and installation for treating waste water from oil seed and cereal processing, especially olive oil mill waste water (OMW), guaranteeing a substantial reduction of environmentally damaging waste water ingredients while taking economic factors into account. The aim of the invention is to develop a method and system designed to treat olive oil mill waste water, whereby higher physical, chemical, biochemical and biological elimination rates can be achieved using the material and energy potential of the OMW while taking economic aspects into account. The installation needs to be able to operate at short notice due to the amounts of seasonal waste. In the inventive method and installation thus disclosed, the fresh waste water is pre-treated by subjecting it to acidification with biogenic flocculation and separation of solid particles. The pre-treated waste water is then anaerobically and mesophilically processed using a carrier-bound biomass suspension, whereby fixing occurs using moving bed biofilm biology with cylindrical hollow bodies acting as a carrier material and the biogas thus arising, in addition to the sludge thus occurring, is removed.

Process and apparatus for treating wastewater from oil plant processing and cereal processing

In an internal combustion engine, a shaft driving apparatus and timing assembly in the form of a camshaft sprocket having first and second ends extending perpendicular to the axis of rotation. The first end for defining an annular timing surface positioned adjacent an angular position sensor and including a first arcuate surface region extending outwardly in the axial direction from the sprocket's first end and a second surface arcuate region recessed in the axial direction with respect to the first arcuate surface region. As the camshaft rotates, the closeness of the position sensor to the first arcuate surface region and the relative greater distance of the sensor to the second arcuate surface region produces different effects so that the sensor can detect the camshaft's angular position.
