The invention relates to a winder () for winding strips (), in particular thin metal strips, comprising a coiler drum () which is arranged such that it can rotate about a rotational axis (), and at least one pivoting arm () which is arranged such that it can pivot about an axis () and which has at least one deflection plate () and at least one pressure roller (), which deflect and press the strip () which is to be wound. In order to improve, in particular, the winding of thin strips, the invention provides for the at least one pressure roller () to be assigned at least one movement means (), by way of which the pressure roller () can be moved relative to the pivoting arm ().

Winder for winding strips

The invention relates to a hot rolling mill, with at least one flatness measuring roller, pertaining to at least one rolling bed, arranged before and/or after one of the stands, which influences the settings of at least one of the stands. The aim of the invention is to improve the arrangement of the roller bed working rollers and the flatness measuring roller, such that the flatness measuring roller may be, optionally, either brought into operation, or be withdrawn into a protected position, whereby, in this case, the gap in the rolling bed thus formed can be closed. Said aim is achieved, whereby the flatness measuring roller may be stored, away from its working position, behind a screen and that the rolling bed is completed with at least one retractable working roller.

The invention relates to a deflection method for deflecting a strip ( ), especially a metal strip ( ), from an initial guide channel ( ) to a final guide channel ( ) which runs next to said initial guide channel ( ). A rotor winder and a method for operating the rotor winder, wherein the rotor winder has two rotors supported in a rotatable rotor with two winders which are driven independently from one another and are provided for successive continuous winding of hot strip. Each winder has a winder mandrel including several moveable segments for expanding the winder mandrel, wherein the segments are supported on axially moveable wedge-shaped gliding surfaces. The winders are moveable in cycles from an initial position into the coil transfer position by rotation of the rotor. A device is provided for guiding an incoming hot strip onto the winder mandrel of the winder positioned in the initial position and for holding the strip on the winder mandrel until a slip-free engagement of the strip is effected. The device for guiding and placing the incoming strip is arranged on a power-driven frame mounted so as to be moveable in a direction extending parallel to the axis of the winder.

The invention relates to a strip winder (,) for winding a hot or cold strip (,) into a coil, comprising a winder mandrel (,), pressure rolls (,) which can be in the form of comb rolls (,&prime;) deflection cups (,), and a feed shaft (,). The aim of the invention is to improve a strip winder of this type so that a hot or cold strip (,) can be wound securely on the winder mandrel (,) even at high speeds and when the strip is thin. To that end, the deflection cups (,) have channels (,) whose outlet openings (,) are located in the cup area and the channels (,) are connected to a medium supply system.
