A device for supplying energy to a long stator winding having multiple winding sections. The device includes an energy source, a supply line connected to the energy source, section switches that are connected to the supply line and that each have a connection for connecting the switch to one winding section each. The device is configured to enable reactive (idle) power compensation independently of the closed-loop control of the energy source. The device for the reactive power compensation is configured to adjust the impedance of the device.

Device for supplying energy to a long stator winding having multiple winding sections

A device for controlling and monitoring an installation that is composed of sequentially disposed sub-sections in a chain so that each sub-section lies between a forward sub-section and a rearward sub-section, with the exception of the terminal sub-sections of the installation. Each sub-section is connected to a first control unit and a second control unit and the control units of the sub-sections communicate at least partially with one another, with the sub-sections, and/or with a higher-level control center. Increased safety requirements are satisfied with the novel device, while at the same time being cost-effective, in that the first control unit is also connected to the forward sub-section and the second control unit is also connected to the rearward sub-section.

Device for controlling and monitoring sequential subsections of an installation

A long stator motor, particularly for driving a magnetic levitation transport system, includes a stator iron, inside of which grooves for accommodating cable windings are provided. At least two cable windings are placed one above the other by running at least two cables inside each groove.

Long stator motor

A circuit device is disclosed which is used to increase useable motor voltage in a long stator drive. Further, suitable methods for operating a magnetically levitated vehicle provided with the circuit device are also disclosed. In one embodiment of the present invention, the stator section of the long stator drive is connected to the energy supply line on two connection points by way of a first and a second switch. A third switch is located between both connection points arranged on the energy supply line. Both of the stator section connections are connected to the ground potential by way of a fourth and a fifth switch. In one embodiment, in order to accelerate the magnetically levitated vehicle, the first and the second switches are closed and all other switches are opened. The stator section is cross-flown in a direct manner by current in the energy supply line.

A device is for braking a magnetic levitation railway, wherein the stator winding of a linear motor is short-circuited as a brake winding in a last section before an end of the route. There is a provision for two stator windings which extend alternately on the stator to be present in a penultimate section.

Device for braking a magnetic levitation railway

A method is for operating a vehicle of a magnetic levitation railway on a route which is fitted with a stator with a stator winding. There is provision for the time profile of the strength of the current to be measured in each provided supply phase of the stator winding. In addition, in the region of the respective supply phase on the route, the time profile of the magnetic flux of the magnetic leakage field emanating from the vehicle is measured. The force acting on the vehicle is then determined from current strength values, assigned magnetic fluxes and a motor constant of the vehicle. The force which is determined is compared with a threshold value and when the force deviates greatly the energy supply to the stator winding is interrupted.

Method for operating a vehicle of a magnetic levitation railway

A system and method for supplying power to stator sections of a long-stator magnetic levitation railway system, where the stator winding is subdivided into several stator sections that can be controlled individually along a route for a magnetically levitated vehicle, where the stator sections can be connected to at least one feeder cable system running along the stator sections via at least one section switch, and at least one converter is provided for each feeder cable system, where one or more converters are provided in at least one substation along the stator sections, and each converter creates a voltage supply system for the stator sections, where the operating voltage in the feeder cable systems is not the same as the operating voltage of the stator sections, and at least one matching transformer is connected between the feeder cable systems and the stator sections so the operating voltage of the feeder cable systems can be transformed to the operating voltage of the stator sections.
