A method provides a program module in a communications system. The program module is accommodated by a server, the program module is transmitted to a subscriber terminal, a test criterion is calculated each time inside a security device and in the subscriber terminal by using the program module and an individual key. By comparing the test criterion, it is determined whether the program module has been defectively received by the subscriber terminal.

Method for providing a program module in a communications system

Software is provided in a radio-based cellular communication networks by a subscriber station, which is checked into a cell and which contains software that can be provided. The subscriber station notifies a storage device of the cell that the software is available in the cell. The storage device then sends a message concerning the availability of the software to all of the subscriber stations checked into the cell. Another subscriber station, which is checked into the cell, can request the software by sending a message with a limited transmitting power so that the message can only be received by subscriber stations located at a distance from the requesting subscriber station that is small compared to the diameter of the cell. When the subscriber station storing the software has received the message sent by the requesting subscriber station, the software is immediately transmitted from that subscriber station to the requesting subscriber station.

A packet-oriented communication network is provided having one or more domains which in each case includes at least one network facility, and a mobile radio network which includes at least one home location register and uses a signaling protocol. The network facility of the packet-oriented communication network supports the signaling protocol for interworking with the home location register of the mobile radio network. Using the signaling protocol, an inquiry as to whether the routing of the link is to be performed in the packet-oriented communication network or in the mobile radio network is directed by the network facility from the packet-oriented communication network to the home location register of the mobile radio network.

The method for information transmission sends trigger information from the subscriber database to the service switching point that is currently responsible for the subscriber, and a trigger event is then stored with it in the service switching point. When the trigger event is present, the information is requested directly from a service control point by the service switching point. In this way, information can be called from the service control point both while connection is being set up and during an already existing connection, and can be made available to the subscriber or to his communications terminal. The direct request for information via a trigger event that can be predetermined is possible at any time by means of the invention, and is not limited to a single check before setting up a connection.

A method for implementing an intelligent service includes the step of offering the intelligent service with an intelligent network of a telephone system. Messages are exchanged interactively between a subscriber of the telephone system and a peripheral unit. The subscriber is authorized to use at least the intelligent service. The telephone system includes, in addition to the intelligent network, at least one telephone network which is linked to the intelligent network. Information relating to the intelligent service is exchanged between the peripheral unit and a service control node via a connection which is established in a data network.

In a method for the transmission of subscriber data between network nodes in at least one communications network supporting the structure of an intelligent network, each time a network subscriber passes from a first mobile location zone having an originating network node into a second mobile location zone having a target network node, trigger data as subscriber-related data respectively stored for the network subscriber are requested by a central network node and are transmitted to the target network node, which, in the second mobile location zone, creates a connection to a separate network node in a call processing using the data. In this way, in addition to the current subscriber data, the subscriber-related branching data can be made dynamically available at all times and to all mobile locations to the network subscriber moving arbitrarily in a communications network.
