The disclosure relates to a transfer device of a capsule filling machine for transferring at least one capsule from a capsule receptacle of a capsule segment to a downstream process station, and to a capsule filling machine having such a transfer device. The transfer device includes a transport segment having at least one transport receptacle, which extends along a vertical longitudinal axis, wherein the transport receptacle is configured as a clamping receptacle having a clamping element, acting radially with respect to the longitudinal axis of the transport receptacle, for the capsule.

Transfer device for a capsule and capsule filling machine having a transfer device

The disclosure relates to a capsule filling machine for filling two-part capsules each having an upper capsule portion and a lower capsule portion. The capsule filling machine includes a main drive unit for operating the capsule filling machine and at least one capsule segment for conveying the capsules. The capsule segment includes a lower segment portion for receiving the lower capsule portion and an upper segment portion for receiving the upper capsule portion. The lower segment portion and the upper segment portion are constructed to be able to be moved relative to each other. The capsule segment is operatively connected to the main drive unit in such a manner that the relative movement of the lower segment portion and upper segment portion with respect to each other is effected by the main drive unit.

Capsule filling machine for filling two-part capsules

A device for weighing filled capsules has a weighing unit with weighing receptacle for the capsules supplied via a feed channel to the weighing unit in a movement direction. The weighing receptacle has a stop holding a capsule with form fit in movement direction in a receptacle section of the weighing receptacle. The receptacle section relative to the horizontal is slanted such that a leading end of the receptacle section relative to the movement direction is lower than a rearward end. In the method for weighing, the capsule is held with form fit in movement direction in the receptacle section by the stop device such that the capsule is at a slant with a leading end in relation to the movement direction being lower than a rearward end of the capsule. Weighing of the capsule is done in the weighing unit while the capsule is held at the slant.

Device and method for weighing filled capsules

A capsule filling machine has a frame and a rotary plate. A processing station includes a weighing device for capsules. The frame has a table and feet for setting down on a floor. The weighing device has a weighing frame provided with dedicated weighing-frame feet. The table has a cutout with a peripheral edge, the weighing device being positioned in the cutout at a distance from its edge on all sides. The machine includes a flange having two ends that lie one on top of the other and a lining encircling its longitudinal axis. The flange in the region of one of its ends encloses the cutout in the machine table and is connected sealingly to the table in the region of the peripheral edge. The flange in the region of its other end encloses the weighing frame and is sealingly connected to the weighing frame.

Capsule filling machine

The disclosure relates to a capsule weighing device and to a capsule filling device having at least one such capsule weighing device. The capsule weighing device includes a measuring unit and a capsule measuring receiver for holding a capsule. The capsule measuring receiver is positioned at the side of the measuring unit with reference to the weight force direction and includes a capsule measuring channel which is continuous in the weight force direction and has a releasable locking mechanism for the capsule. The capsule filling device may include a receiving station for empty capsules and ejection station for filled capsules, wherein a first capsule weighing device is arranged on the input side of the receiving station for tare weighing, and wherein a second capsule weighing device is arranged on the output side of the ejection station for gross weighing.

Capsule weighing device and capsule filling device having such a capsule weighing device

A device is for ejecting at least one capsule from a capsule holder. The capsule holder has at least two capsule receptacles for, in each case, one capsule. The device comprises: at least two ejectors, each of the ejectors being configured to eject a respective one of the capsules from the corresponding one of the receptacles; a drive unit configured to actuate the at least two ejectors independently of each other in an ejection direction and in an opposite return direction; the drive unit having a pneumatic actuating cylinder for each ejector; the pneumatic actuating cylinders being individually actuatable as a drive for respective ones of the at least two ejectors; a limiter element which is provided jointly for a plurality of the at least two ejectors and which has a cyclical lifting drive; and, each ejector being assigned a stop acting in the return direction for the limiter element.

Device and method for ejecting at least one capsule from a capsule holder

A device for opening and emptying filled two-piece capsules, each having a capsule lower part and a capsule upper part, comprises a separator block for separating the capsule lower part from the capsule upper part. A guide pusher is provided for pressing individual two-piece capsules into the separator block in a pressing direction. The separator block has a first clamping track for the lower capsule part and a second clamping track for the capsule upper part. The clamping track have a direction of advancement in which the capsule upper part or capsule lower part can be moved by the guide pusher and be clamped perpendicularly thereto. The two clamping tracks are inclined such that their directions of advancement diverge at an angle to the pressing direction of the guide pusher.

Device for opening and emptying filled two-piece capsules

An apparatus to introduce a defined amount of a second powder into a process container in which a first powder or a powder mixture is present, includes a coupling flange having a cover flap located on the process container. The second powder is introduced into a tubular cartridge mounted displaceably in a transport unit, the latter including a joining flange having a cover flap. The joining flange is joinable to the coupling flange so that the respective cover flaps can be opened, and the cartridge can be pushed through openings thereby provided into the plane of the inner wall of the process container. The second powder is emptied from the cartridge into the process container by a delivery piston. The cartridge may include a piston rod having multiple pistons. Other embodiments include a double piston, a rotatable cartridge core or a rotary closure.

Device for introducing a defined amount of a second powder into a process container

The present invention relates to a method and system for dosing a pharmaceutical product in a packaging machine having at least one volumetric dosing unit with a dosing chamber. The system check-weighs the volumetrically dosed product with appropriate speed and is integrated into a filling or packaging machine. In accordance with the invention, a volume of a first pharmaceutical component is metered and weighed before being introduced into a package. The procedure is repeated with a second pharmaceutical component. The package containing the components is then weighed. Advantageously, accuracy and precision of the amount of the weighed components can be monitored with the present invention to secure the quality of the pharmaceutical product.

Method and system for dosing a pharmaceutical sample in a packaging machine

A metering device has a filling material container with a metering disk. Metering bores for products such as microtablets are disposed in the metering disk. Underneath the metering disk in a transfer region, there is a capsule filling shaft which is disposed in line with prepared capsule bottoms. The invention proposes supporting the filling material container so that it can rotate on an axis which is disposed inclined in relation to the vertical. This permits the microcapsules to be easily dispensed into the metering bores, permits the microtablets to be handled in a manner that is gentle on the product, and permits a high performance of the metering device.

Metering device

A capsule part carrier in a filling and sealing machine for two-part capsules comprises a lower segment for capsule bottom parts and an upper segment for caps. In each of the segments, two stepped bores embodied of bore portions are provided, which form a seat for the capsule bottom part and the cap. In the bore portions of the lower segment, a plurality of longitudinal grooves are formed, which communicate via a suction bore with a vacuum source. Via the longitudinal grooves, the negative pressure applied in the lower segment can also act on the upper segment and the cap. Instead of longitudinal grooves, separate through bores can also be provided, which communicate with the suction bore.

Capsule part carrier in a filling and sealing machine for two-part capsules

A device for metering and dispensing powdered filling material into containers has two filling wheels, which are disposed one after the other in the feed direction of the containers. At least the filling wheels are comprised of ceramic material and, in comparison to conventional filling wheels, have a reduced number of metering bores as well as a smaller structural size. In order to adjust the metering quantity, the filling wheels each have an adjusting disk, which cooperates with metering plungers. The two filling wheels and the two metering disks are respectively driven by a servomotor. The device according to the invention is distinguished by means of a compact design and an operation that is suitable in the pharmaceutical field.

Device for metering and dispensing powdered filling material into containers

An apparatus for weighing hard gelatine capsules or the like has a feed conduit and a discharge conduit, as well as a weighing receptacle that is disposed between them with virtually no cap. By means of a pawl, whichever of the lowermost hard gelatine capsule or the like is released in the feed conduit and pushed over onto the weighing receptacle by a lever can be pivoted into the feed conduit. A vane wheel is also present, whose vanes engages the feed conduit, the weighing receptacle and the discharge conduit and thereby form virtually closed-off transport chambers, each for one hard gelatine capsule or the like.
